Two of the best weeks of my year for eight years straight. Had a great time and made plenty of friends. Sam Torn has the whole summer camp thing down to a science.
This is an amazing place!!!! I have a lot of special memories from Camp Ozark♡I’ve been coming here for family reunion almost every year for 23 years and it’s been fun every time!!!!
After paying my deposit for my child in March and her then being on a wait list as number >150 for 3 different weeks I decided in May to get a refund on my deposit and find another camp. I was greatly disappointed to learn of my $300 I would only get $250 back as Camp Ozark keeps $50 for application fees . Well I have called 3 times to try and get my $250, on May 2 spoke with Jaime said my deposit was headed my way then on May 23 I spoke with Mary Francis who seemed disturbed that I was upset about not getting my refund and also spoke to Margaret that same day May 23 who let me know my refund was on its way. Well here it is July 28 and myself nor the bank can find any refund from Camp ozark. And guess what nobody wants to talk to me when I tell them what it’s regarding I am put on hold and sent to a voicemail. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this Camp…. I asked when I called if they offered scholarships and they let me know real quickly they only offer scholarships to people living in Montgomery County. Well how many people do you think CaMp
Ozark has made $50 per application fee off of let’s just say 100
Kids and they do 12 weeks a summer… If 100 kids don’t get to go because they are on the wait list and never get to go parents loose $50; the way I figure it that’s about $60,000.00. That’s a nice amount of money they are making on kids that never attend their camp in Montgomery County.
(100 kids X 12 weeks x $50) and yes my kids was on 3 wait lists. I believe #171, # 152, and # 102. This is just my opinion but I would avoid them at all costs.
Conway Institute of Music
Address: 945 Carson Cove #103, Conway, AR 72034 , Used , Arkansas , United States
Love it here! It’s a friendly environment with many materials at your disposal. The prices are affordable and I always look forward to every class. I have learned a lot since I started!
Oscar is great with my nine year old. We have been looking for something close to us for him to do other than sports and he has really found his niche at the atelier. He loves coming to art class and says Oscar is “a pretty cool guy”. I definitely recommend him!
Oscar is very friendly and personable. He operates an ethical business that works with all ages. He is also a licensed educator. I attended his Bob Ross instructional art class last night with my girlfriend and another of our friends. It was a good time and we made paintings of mountains and trees that turned out fairly decent. He provides all of the art supplies and instruction for technique. 10/10 recommend this studio.
Ozark Climbing Gym
Address: 875 E Robinson Ave, Springdale, AR 72764 , Used , Arkansas , United States
Ozark Climbing Gym is a great place to climb in the area!! Garrett and the crew are extremely helpful and truly dedicated to their gym. Go check it out!
Great place to go bouldering! Clean, awesome people working there, and family friendly! I highly suggest climbing here!
Had fun with Angela at Ozark Climbing.
Decent facility, helpful staff
Great indoor fun for the whole family! Nice enough staff we’ve really enjoyed it this winter. I wish it was possible to buy a family pass at face value though. I attempted to buy one at $150 but they tried to charge me $100 dollars more which was out of the question. I wanted 30 days not prorated anything else. Instead I paid $50 for one day. I’m not happy about that.
I dont think you need any improvements I just dont like climbing, my friends had fun thought.
Very small. At peak hours walls are full and you have to wait to climb. Workers and gym rats are very judging. Not a good setting for a beginner. It is not a climbing gym just a glorifed kids jungle gym. Would NOT recommend.
Very uncomfortable environment. Was constantly getting stared at by the regular guys. Not beginner or family friendly. Don’t expect to be helped unless you’re a female.
Clinton School of Public Service
Address: 1200 President Clinton Ave, Little Rock, AR 72201 , Used , Arkansas , United States
Very cool building. leap Platinum certified. lots of history. great experience regardless of your political feelings
Our group The Turtle Creek Chorale performed here and it was a deeply spiritual we moving performance on our part. It was really clear after visiting the library at this location why President Clinton chose this spot for his Library!
Very informative and peaceful.
Nice views and nice restaurant
Good place
This was amazing. I want to enroll for phd
Turns out you can’t just up and visit this place. We wandered in and got asked to leave pretty quickly. Not a negative experience but definitely had that closed door feel to it.
We went two hours out of our way in an RV with a tow car. The roads are too narrow. They had allowed the local civics club to park in the RV school bus area , no place to park. They told us to wait an hour and we could get in
But we could not wait in the bus turn around area. Bummer. Poor communication. Poor staff skills
Taxes weren’t enough, the Clintons charge to enter the building, unless you’re going to the restaurant.
Second Presbyterian Preschool
Address: 600 Pleasant Valley Dr, Little Rock, AR 72227 , Used , Arkansas , United States
The university has gone straight up in the past 10 years. They have established one of the top 3(possibly the very top) engineering and have partnered with a great medical school(UAMS). The money they have been given helped to secure talented professors and great staff.
Past that though, they have started to recruit high end students and provide scholarship money for all. For example, I received a full ride plus some spending money as a result of my “high performance” (read as standardized test scores). Be aware that, like most other state colleges, most awards are based off of test scores and having above a 3.5 in high school.
Overall, the school has a bit of a bad rap around Arkansas because of what it was over 50 years ago, but it has become a competitor for the best in state college and is definitely still headed up.
Great school, go here!
Nice campus, great teachers, quality education specially in chemistry program.
The campus is very nice
Great school, needs better atmosphere. I’ve never seen or heard of a professor not willing to bend over backwards to help a student. Very knowledgeable professors who have real world experience in their fields. They’re trying to get a better atmosphere for students by making students stay on campus (see rules and all on their site) and I commend them for that.
As with any other college, food is so-so and parking sucks (but that’s college).
48 miles, to far
Literally the worst school in the mid south. They don’t care at all about students only about revenue. Instructors don’t care, and clearly have no genuine interest in teaching or students. Advising departments seems overwhelmed and ill prepared. Faculty never takes accountability for dropping the ball at any point in the process. All they’re policies are revenue based, and don’t benefit the student. Few classes are transferable making you stuck at university that you’re unhappy at. I attempted to seek help for depression in my second year and the counselor just looked at me odd and made me take career assessment and leave his office. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. I will not be attending grad school at University of Arkansas system school.
If you have the patience to deal with lack of communication and knowledge of the most basic things like me than apply if you do not avoid this school like the Black Plague! Seriously! I am in process applying for the nursing program transferring from out of state University. Mr. Jon Vickers never answer the phone or give you a call back, I literally call this man 10 times in the past two weeks and no answer or phone call back! He is suppose to be head of nursing department but he never answer any calls. Front desk people could never answer the most basic questions like “ when are the nursing application going to be available” they always transfer me and no one every seems to be available. Only good experience I had is talking to Belinda White. This school needs a lot of work with communication and keep their staff up to date on basic information.
As a student in the college of Mass Comm for an online Masters, I can say that this is one of the least organized, ragtag, messy programs I have ever seen with an astounding lack of communication (ironically). The lack of basic understanding for the requirements of a degree by some of the department members is unbelievable. The class offerings of classes required for graduation is abysmal, especially considering you are required to be advised of upcoming semesters. With that advising session, one would think that with a reviewer, the classes on that graduation plan would be vetted to ensure they meet requirements and that their offering within the next year is reasonable, but alas, that is not the case. I would not recommend anyone attend nor waste their money on the online Masters in mass comm.
