Incredible educational institution
Regardless of skill levels, everyone is greeted with warmth and genuine kindness, making them feel truly welcome.
Excellent music learning and experience. Our son loves it and the family has enjoyed the public events. Very well done.
Such an amazing musical program for our youth!! Gives kids the opportunity to use their creativity and build confidence and self-esteem. Highly recommend signing your child/children up for their various programs and or summer camps.
The school itself is great my son has a great time and enjoys all aspects of learning so far, in my personal opinion the front area could use some work, it’s always very awkward when I walk in, dont even get me started on having to wait for any length of time, there’s hardly a greeting or asking why you’re here. I get it, this place is unprofessionally proffesional but the courtesy could be tuned up for the safety of the kids.
Ehh
Very poor experience. Started off pretty good then just went downhill from there. The owner really doesn’t care about anything but the money and his ego. The instructors there are very nice but never available for lessons. Speaking from my experience, my instructor was almost never there and I was always offered a lesson in something that was unrelated. Probably because they had something more important to do than school of rock. You pay to play shows that aren’t even worth it. Sound is horrendous, no real sound guy, equipment is old and outdated, and when somebody like myself tries to fix it, they yell and say I “don’t know what I’m doing” even though the owner has no musical knowledge whatsoever. The other musicians there are really nice and I got along with them just fine. The biggest problem with school of rock is it’s owner. I had to quit in the middle of the “amazing tour” due to the fact that it was a miserable and depressing experience. Terrible food, no sleep, no showering, rooms were full of cockroaches and were in the middle of the ghetto. I love music and playing was great, but all of the other nonsense in between really turned me off from it. There was no concern for anybody’s health or wellbeing. Only when I threatened to leave, and subsequently did, they decided to act like they wanted to help but it was too late. I shouldn’t have had to beg to take a break from the nonstop unrelated music activities that were boring and tiring. According to the owner, THAT is what a REAL touring musician does. Which is completely false. Real touring musicians get paid, and are not bombarded with unnecessary activities. They play music, relax, and repeat. And any other activities they want to do is on their own desire. In conclusion, new management is very well needed in North Palm Beach School Of Rock.

Excellent music school for children and love their approach of getting the younger children on stage early.
Not a musician went with friend to see grandson play at the end of a summer camp. Great people top notch facility and the kids were having a blast.
Our daughter loves School of Rock and looks forward to band practice and vocal lessons every week. She has improved her voice, stage presence and confidence. The instructors are very knowledgeable in all aspects of music and performing. This is a great program for any child or adult interested in music.
Nice staff, fun classes. My daughter did a trail they explained everything and she was pumped. I had 2 more who wanted to do a trail too. However I have 3 children and to put all 3 in it would be 350 plus… The price is outrageous for normal working class families with more than 1 kid.
I attend the School of Rock for approximately 2 months and decided that it wasn’t the right group for me. There were some definitive factors which lead me to stop attending. Here are the pros and cons about the School of Rock:
1. Parking… the parking at the School of Rock cannot accommodate more than 7 – 9 people at one time. So if you’re unable to find a parking spot on the School of Rock’s premises, you’ll have to find parking elsewhere. This can become problematic when most of the parking on the street is taken up or unavailable. Eight times out of ten, the available parking spaces on the street are a couple hundred meters to a quarter mile away. I cannot confirm but I was told parking on the street was free for up to an hour.
2. Cost Per Lesson… The cost per lesson is on the high end of reasonable. The lessons should be longer given the amount of money you will pay per lesson.
3. Quality of Lesson… I don’t have anything negative to say about the lessons. The instructors, at least the one I was under, understand and know how to play their instruments and are able to teach effectively.
4. Schedule… Scheduling is and isn’t a problem at the School of Rock. I was able to schedule the lessons when it suited my personal schedule. The instructor I was assigned to was available on certain days of the week so ultimately, flexibility is dependent on your instructors and who you’re paired with. Although, I didn’t enjoy this experience at the School of Rock due to their rigid policy that is enforced when your unable to make it to the lesson the day of. See reason number #5.
5. Pre-Payments… Scheduling and this topic go hand and hand. The School of Rock will ask that you pay up front for all (4) lessons for the month. One would expect to have (4) lessons since they paid for (4) lessons but this is unfortunately not the case. Accident or not, you will pay the full amount of money despite not having attended a lesson the day of that lesson.
Conclusion:
I don’t have a problem with the instructors, in fact I believe the School of Rock has a good team of musicians capable of teaching students how to have a good foundation where they could learn to become better on their own, but the policy of the School of Rock is rather unforgiving.
The type of treatment of customers who pay for a service and get nothing in return is rather silly and I would hope for the School of Rock’s sake that I’m just a special case scenario. The reasons why this is the case are petty and unconvincing in my opinion and I don’t care enough to fight about it. The School of Rock will not show mercy on this topic.
Truly, I would have stayed longer had the School of Rock not been so stingy about their own policy.
You can most definitely find a private instructor who will not penalize you for missing a lesson, charges a similar amount of money per lesson and is as skillful as the level of those at School of Rock for more time elsewhere.

Both of my boys have had excellent experiences at Orlando School of Rock. Wes and the team work hard to run a great program and did a great job matching our kids to the right instructors for them. They participated in everything from the week-long summer day camps, to show season programs, to house band. The staff encourages all kids to stretch and try new things to fully explore and grow their musical ability. In particular, putting on and performing shows at real venues throughout Orlando gives kids a “real world” band experience that can’t be duplicated in other private lesson programs. Our time at School of Rock has helped to round our kids out as musicians and also helped strengthen their love of music and embrace it as a viable career option.
Great place to inspire the love of music. My 9 year old daughter loves rocking with the Rock 101 band to songs that I grew up with like Green Day, Foreigner, Joan Jett etc. It is truly a fun way to teach.
I can’t say enough about this music program Wes runs for young musicians! This is a top notch music school. This school has had a huge influence on my son as a musician. Everyone needs to check out their semester concerts. Amazing.
I was a student at this school. Absolutely horrible school the service is terrible, specifically the band director Nick is awful he doesn’t how to talk to students. For example, because I wasn’t going to continue on the band program he told me not to come back the next week that I had already paid for because I was wasting everyone’s time. I had already paid for the classes and had the right to participate. This is just unacceptable service. Don’t come here to waste your time and money
My son spent a month at the academy and it was one of the worst experiences we could have. My son attended classes on Wednesdays and on Saturdays. On Saturdays they rehearsed for the band. the last two weeks the teacher “Nick” did not want to teach him because he would not continue and he told my son who is only 16 years old that he was not wasting his time with him if he was not going to continue. If I pay for a whole month of classes, I have the right to demand all the classes during that month. Stay away if you don’t want to waste your time and money.
Terrible school. Would give 0 stars if I could. They only care about money and couldn’t care less about your kids or you. They don’t teach how to learn to read notes or how to play the actual instrument. They make you memorize the keys to hit. For example; “hit 4th key twice then 6th key once” that is NOT teaching. A piano book does not say “4th key twice and 7th key once” a piano book has sheet music with notes, in which the students should be learning, so when they go out to learn their own songs they can read the music. They should learn notes, what each symbol in sheet music means and most importantly, HOW to play the songs and not memorize them. Maybe other schools of rock don’t have this issue but I would not recommend going here. Waste of time and money.

Derek and Michael have gone above and beyond for our students. They work tirelessly to make sure my son understands how to play a chord and demonstrate patience during the learning process. My son is learning how to play with other members of a band. His understanding of rhythm and tempo have greatly improved since starting their program. I highly recommend this program to other families!
Everything about the Schol of Rock rocks! The building is decked out with state of the art fixtures and colors- anyone would be in awe when they walk in! The owners and staff are wonderful and really love music and those they teach it to. All the instructors are working musicians and are excellent at what they do, and they are all so generous with giving back to the community. An overall wonderful experience for kids and adults.
My daughter is a bass player at the School of Rock. She’s been a student there since June. The school is a fantastic outlet for those who already know how to play guitar, bass, drums, keys or even for those who sing. It’s also a great place for beginners who are wanting to learn and perform. School of Rock is not just for kids, there are programs for adults as well. I have enjoyed watching the progress of not only my daughter and how she plays but the other students as well. I am a proud RockerMom!!!
Left voicemails trying to get purchase guitar lessons for my granddaughter, no return calls, no one answers the phone.

My daughter absolutely loves this place. In the last three years I have watched her become a better and better performer, thanks to all the time and support she has received here.
My nephew has been attending SoR for guitar lessons for about 6 months – in that time he has not only learned to play guitar and is slowly building the fundamentals of music, but being a part of this community has provided him an opportunity to practice better social, relational and team-work skills. This combination has helped build his confidence which shows in many areas of his life, not just when playing the guitar. I love that SoR instills in him the desire to learn and excel.
Great music education, excellent performance program. My children’s musicianship has improved beyond expectations!
Great communication Wes handled a situation for me and we are very satisfied.
Skate Factory

Two shuffle/jam skaters coming all the way from Orlando (1.5 hour drive) to try out Skate Factory on a Sunday afternoon. I have to admit, it is an amazing place to skate normal or shuffle skate or whatever type of skating you prefer. Great environment, fair share of kids learning and skating, very clean establishment, and friendly employees. Perhaps they have other nights for specific types of skating but I am not entirely sure… nevertheless, Sunday family session was beyond enjoyable.
Great place for a kids birthday party, everything well organized. Had about 12 kids, lots of fun and activities!
Only place around to sk8. Bring the kids
Being too old to skate my grandson 7 absolutely loves to skate had his birthday party there very successful
It was great, the place was clean the songs rock a little crazy but had a blast, candy was my favorite part. This was my first time roller skating so I was crashing in walls. The annoying part was the skate was that it hurt your ankle. But I had a blast.
First time here and we really did have a fun time. The facility is clean, employees are nice, and fun atmosphere. Came for adult skate Halloween night. I want to give a five star, but unfortunately one of the most important aspects was not good, and that was the music!! 90% ghetto rap. Not fun songs or even songs you can dance to, just mainly not good music. It’s skating! The music needs to be fun! Hopefully other nights it’s better!
While I appreciate a good 80s aesthetic, this place is pretty dated. We went for Glow Night and it was super hard to hear the announcements, and the music mix was poor at best. Pretty dirty and obviously in need of an update. Prices are also high for what you get.
Drove an hour to skate in the afternoon on my Birthday. Sign on the door said please wear masks. Other sign is posted in an attempt to avoid liability for not enforcing facial coverings in an enclosed, poorly ventilated space where people come to spend 3 hours, laughing, singing, screaming and exerting themselves. I am not quite sure why there would be no attempt at all to keep people safe. The ticket sale was made from behind the glass, so we only realized how risky it was upon entering. We told the proprietor we were leaving, and no offer of a refund was made. We didn’t ask for one, but it honestly would have been the right thing to do. There was absolutely no one other than us wearing a mask.
Beware! There are men grabbing little girls by their private parts in the girls bathroom at this place! I called the police and reported the situation and the people that run this place REFUSED to be of ANY help in finding out who might have done it! My daughter is 13! They refused to release any footage showing who went in and out of the girls bathroom. The man is described to have long hair. Watch your kids!
