Greystone Mason Music saved my marriage. Still together despite the incident!
Phenomenal experience learning piano from William. It can be intimidating trying to completely learn a new instrument as an adult, but they did a great job helping my wife and I feel comfortable, learn, and have a blast at the same time!
Leah makes piano fun for the kids

My son has taken guitar lessons at Mason for about 7 years, & my daughter piano for about 3. I can’t say enough good things!
My son has really enjoyed playing electric guitar with Bret here! He always looks forward to coming and he has made steady progress. It is a highlight of his week.
Mason Music is awesome! My son goes there to study piano with Justin Hendrix. Justin has a warm and easy-going style, yet is very thorough and shows you how to turn theory into true music. He teaches both how to read music and how to play by ear. My son loves him, and quite frankly I’ve learned a lot from him too! All the staff I’ve interacted with have been very friendly, and the building itself is also attractive, colorful, and inspires creativity.
Shocco Springs Baptist Conference Center
Address: 1314 Shocco Springs Rd, Talladega, AL 35160 , Manzherok , Alabama , United States
We were at Shocco for Honor Choir last weekend. We were amazed at the pristine care of the grounds and facilities. The staff was amazing. Wonderful customer service. Southern Baptists have a real jewel in Shocco. We will definitely be back!
The staff were friendly and helpful, also the food was delicious. I have to mention the cold brew because it looked so good and my coworker said that it tasted phenomenal!!
Staff members were professional and kind. Rooms and facility were sparkling clean and well maintained. Sound system in the Bagley center conference room was great. The lake view is beautiful.
Good place for connecting /Networking. Ideal for national and international conference
Shocco Springs is an amazing camp center. I had the ability to go when our youth camp decided to come for summer camp. The camp is run through Student Life Camps and has an amazing group of staff and individuals that help the camp run. The guys in our group including me stayed in Mount Moriah, which is one of the many lodging buildings available to stay in. The rooms were clean and fresh bedding was provided, although we brought our own. I opted to use the provided bedding. The rooms had two bunk beds for a maximum capacity of 4 people. The lower level of Mount Moriah (we stayed in the top level–a two story building) has a nice little lobby area with some chairs and a couch. Some guys in our group thought it would be funny to take the couch upstairs and place it in front of our leader’s room. We returned the couch afterwards.
The rest of the camp was very beautiful and well kept. There were some lawn care professionals maintaining the grounds while we stayed.
The recreation area, known as the “Adventure Camp” was very nice. The pool was large enough for our group to comfortably play in, as well as others. A diving board added to the fun. The Tennis courts and Basketball courts were very nice and well kept, but you will need to bring your own tennis supplies, as they are not provided. There was a small “lake” on camp grounds, with paddle boarding, and some water inflatables. We did not decide to go on these as they cost an extortionate amount of $8 for 30 mins of play. Not worth it.
It would we worth nothing that everything is fairly spread apart and there are some very intense hills throughout, which took a toll on our legs and knees. Golf Cart rentals were available for $35/day, but we had too many in our group that it would cost too much, so we didn’t do it.
The food service was very nice, the food tasted adequate and there was always a variety to choose from. It is a self serve food line, so you are free to eat what you choose. A nice addition is the unlimited complimentary Soft Serve Ice Cream available at each and every meal.
Overall I have to say Shocco Springs is one of my favourite camps that I’ve been to. Sure it’s a little hot here in Alabama, but that’s fine. Just bring some water, and going swimming can help tremendously.

It ok
I would give this center no stars if that option was available. They overbooked rooms and would not assist churches that had paid for a certain number of rooms. The rooms were full of black mold and every item I brought stayed wet all week including my blankets. Our boys rooms were also full of spiders and bed bugs.
As if the rooms were not enough the food was horrendous. Staff members were not extremely helpful or kind. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
School of Rock
Address: 9309 Poplar Ave #102, Germantown, TN 38138 , Manzherok , Alabama , United States
My 16-year old son has been taking drum lessons since the age of 8, but it wasn’t until getting involved with the School of Rock Germantown that his love for music truly took root and became his passion. He has been at the school since it’s opening and I cannot say enough good things about Ken, Sallie, and all of the instructors there. The atmosphere is fun, nurturing, and challenging. The opportunities that these young musicians are given is just mind blowing! They are gaining musical knowledge and instruction, but so much more. Ken and Sallie truly rock and the School of Rock Germantown is our favorite place!
School of Rock is amazing about instilling the passion of music in kids. My child comes home wanting to practice and get better because he enjoys the type of instruction School of Rock provides. By focusing on real songs, but son is engaged in the learning!
Great experience so far. Our little beginner loves to rock.
End of camp concert was poorly planned and not well organized. Seating was horrible and there was no program or agenda. We got notice last minute of the concert date, time, and location itself and I had to request my son’s instrument be turned up because it could not be heard at all during the concert!
Spicer’s Music
Address: 2140 E University Dr K, Auburn, AL 36830 , Manzherok , Alabama , United States
Spicers music is great! Every person who works here really appreciates music and they will try their best to help you find what you’re looking for or find something similar.
Bought my first Electric guitar. Great staff
Nice folks
Lots of variety. I didn’t even buy anything, but asked one of the staff several questions about a few of their guitars and he was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The store itself looks pretty cool and has a nice flow to it. A cool spot to check out some good instruments. Parking can be sort of a pain during peak hours during the day, but overall it’s a good choice to visit anytime
friendly staff, great selection, need to turn house music off, so I can hear the instrument I am potentially going to purchase.
Stoped in today to pick up some stuff.guy behind counter would not put his phone down to see if I needed any thing.
No good
Less than fair.
School of Rock

This place is awesome…my son really enjoys it. I am not musically inclined, but I think this place is cool. I enjoy listening to kids play.
School of Rock has been wonderful for our kids. The instructors have challenged and inspired them to work hard and developed their musical skills. Through SOR my kids have developed more confidence and love of music! The administration has been easy to work with and they always try to find the best fit with pairing instructors to kids. Our family loves School of Rock!
Absolutely top notch experience!! I am blown away by all of the talent here. The instructors are so good and so kind. Highly recommend!
Good and relaxed pace. I have a great instructor that makes it really enjoyable
Very personable and friendly teachers and staff! They make learning fun!!
The accessibility of the songs chosen for the kids to learn is great–high-energy, and very relatable. The staff is fun and approachable, and they clearly know their stuff.
(Disclaimer, this message could be perceived as a petty complaint but is my duty as a level 4 local guide to share my opinion. This is me taking my time to review this what I perceive to be a very underorganized. My experience does not come with taking lessons at the school of rock. It instead comes from the school of rock band performing at the same venue right before my band and taking 2 of our drums as we were packing up. It took me FOREVER to track these drums down and when it finally occured to me that perhaps another band might have taken them, I contacted SoR to find them accidentally brought back to the lesson location. Why do I feel like they were just going to keep them if i hadn’t called? I asked Hailey the secretary if we could have the drums delivered and she said no that we would have to pick them up. Um…? You stole our drums and were just going to keep them until someone claims them and picks them up? Nah.. After some teeth pulling I finally had the drums arranged to be delivered but dang, this company could really use some organization and lessons in customer service, or atleast to know that if you steal something from someone, its your responsibility to return it.
The University of Alabama
Address: Tuscaloosa, AL 35487 , Manzherok , Alabama , United States
All these people who give it a 1 star are city boys/ preppy. ROLL TIDE ROLL
Lot of history both goid and bad. Not sure you get what you pay for since so many of the classes use students to teach the course instead of the professor whose salary your tuition is paying.
lots of green bushes, not a lot of nice plants or flowers. landscaping was not beautiful or nice. fun campus and tailgating, roll tide!
Love this place Roll Tide
Pretty sad that the school has a political agenda where it’s supposed to be education. Obviously some die hard conservatives run this school. Alabama still lives life like it’s 1855
The rep for your school needs improvement … No communication at all get better reps please to come to Highschools please this one at Alatoona was horrible.. My daughter was not motivated to visit at all he couldn’t explain the band nor programs . Please do better thank you
Terrible school, too easy, doesn’t prepare you at all.
