Never been a place like this. Best camp evah! You know who I am and I WILL DESTROY YOU at ping-pong
an isolated place where everyone walks barefoot and plays instruments in tiny practice cabins and then they play games that involve things like pretending to kill a fellow camper and then trying to figure out who did it or trying to find hidden treasure while young adults bang on the walls in the middle of the night
this place took nico from me

My son (12) plays drums, and my daughter (14) plays guitar. We’ve been going to SoR Natick since late February and they are having a great time.
It is expensive, especially with two kids going at the same time, but if you count the 2.5 hours a week of rehearsal time + the .75 hours a week of instruction time it comes out to about $23/hour ($325 a month divided by ~14 hours/month). Granted they are not playing for the full 2.5 hours of rehearsal time, it’s still a good value if you consider music store lessons are $25-$35 for a *half* hour.
The performance program also encourages the kids to practice more often then when they were taking individual lessons. If you value working as a team as a valuable life skill, but your child is not a team sports kind of kid (or maybe you’re not a team sports kind of parent…) SoR is a great program for them to learn work as a team while building a skill they’ll have for life.
How much fun is this! A terrific path towards learning an instrument…. proving the School of Rock is for all ages (I’m 56)…… my son, 10, inspired me…
Total blast.
I have been learning electric guitar here for 2 years best session of my people here are so nice and helpful

My son loves the format, can’t recommend this method enough, he’s very engaged and enthusiastic about going to lessons! The owner Mark and his employees are very nice and accommodating to my son and I. We highly recommend School of Rock Burlington!
Our kids had a blast at School of Rock camp with Mark, Celine, and Hannah. I cannot recommend this method and team enough! our kids had no real music experience and came out of the camp excited to learn more and hone their new skills as music lovers. Thank you!

We love the music pops (for infants and toddlers). The teacher is very nice and good at motivating parents and children to sing and dance together. We love the songs. Listening to the songs and singing them in the car with our daughter in the car everyday is such a great fun! We have attended two sessions. Highly recommend this class for parents with infants and/or children aged up to 4!
Great school: well run, offering a wide range of music classes, and with excellent teachers
Enjoying Music Pups, songs are addictive
I have taken all 4 of my children to Music Pups at Powers over the years. We love it! The older kids still sing the songs.
I bought a whole session piano class for my niece and then the course was not sufficient so her mom decided to drop but they did not allow for a refund. When she called them to postpone remaining classes for next season they said its okay but asked for extra money from her. Very disappointed. Money is gone without my niece taking any valuable classes!
I Hate it so much
They are not helpful they waste my money didn’t helped me for that i paid whole summer tuition but we couldn’t get more than 2 classes because of their misunderstanding and they did nothing for that !!!!!!!!

The programs at SOR Somerville create a sense of community between instructors, staff, students and parents. We care for one another and help each other succeed while having a great time together. Also, their support and programs during this pandemic is exceptional and very much appreciated.
For several years, I would pass the School of Rock on Main Street in Somerville. All I knew about it was from the flyers posted around town, and the music I’d hear blaring out of the building next to Dunkin’ Donuts. The sound was fantastic, and if you didn’t know any better, you’d think you were listening to some professional band, playing at some popular pub downtown.
As someone who’s played the guitar on and off for decades, I finally decided to check it out for myself. I was taken aback at how young most of the musicians were. The site’s manager, Megan, was herself an alumni of the program. Although mostly geared for teenagers (and younger!), there was a separate program for adults. Megan was very helpful in working with me, so I could sign up for a program that I could afford. (Mostly individual lessons, with the occasional option of working with a group.) The morale of the whole place is very high, and my personal instructor, Paul, was very friendly and helpful. He had a lesson plan of his own in mind, yet also was open to my input, on what I wanted to work on.
Two small notes of interest- for the private lessons, it can be a bit of a challenge to play over the drums from group practice next door, but you can get used to it. In addition, as of now, they are enforcing mask rules, so that needs to be considered.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, where I learned more in two months than I had in twenty-five years. For anyone looking to take their musicianship to the next level, I would highly recommend this academy!
Since taking ownership just 2 years ago, Dante, John and Kristen have established a culture of family, friendship, talent and pride! They lead by example! They put 150% into the school and treat our kids like their own. In return the kids are so proud to be a part of it all! Come to a show and you will see what I mean. The kids are incredibly talented, work hard and make life long friendships.
Our daughter has grown so much as a musician. The encouragement she gets from the instructors, directors as well as her peers continues to help her reach new heights! Her older sister graduated from the school a few years earlier but continues her connection playing the drums and working at the school on her summer break from college.
We are so proud to be a part of the Somerville SOR family and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone considering.
Rock on!!!!!
Ally is rude. The front desk person is ….incompetent
sometimes teachers just never showed up for scheduled classes, with no warning. This happened a few times.

I attened for six years as a kid and they were the best summers! Learned tremendous amounts that I have taken with me to college. Also, even if your child enjoys playing music, but may not want to persue it, NEMC is still a great place for them to be! My best friend, who lives 2000 miles away from me, went to camp and we still keep in touch and visit yearly.
I recommend NEMC to any child that wants a summer enriched with music while still having fun being a kid!
NEMC provided me with my most favorite memories from my middle school and high school years. I grew as a musician and met friends I still keep in touch with. The second I left NEMC at the end of the session I looked forward to next summer when I could go back. That was a period of my life that I miss so much, and I can’t thank NEMC and the Wiggins for providing it. I highly recommend this camp to anyone with any interest in music.
Best experience a teen could asked for. Life changing!
No one can give less than 5 * of beautiful programming of music languages to whole worldeven if ever had seen this academy my his or her eyes or not just on by YouTube or networking
I was highly impressed by the presentation and staff at the fall open house. I loved how the students feel free to express themselves and how the Berklee College of Music coriculum is so inclusive.
You took away my friend. Either give him the best college experience of his life, or give him back. I’m not playing around, he deserves the world and if he doesn’t get that I will be sad and he will be sad. If you cannot make him live out his dreams, just give him back so I can.
Eu estudo piano
rich kids school:)
There’s a guy whose face looks like a cucumber on campus, took major L’s
My grandson three weeks before leaving was sent a notice that he had to pay $30,000 before he could come to the school. Had already paid his monies he was told he needed up front. He was crushed and so were we. Why would this not be made clear up front?!
교양과목이 너무 많습니다.
