Great school with a fantastic curriculum. Kids learn musical proficiency and how to play cool songs quickly. They build confidence on stage which helps translate into the confidence they build in their daily lives.

Staff is great and really know how to keep kids excited about learning and playing music.
We love everything about this place. Both our boys are students. And we love our School of Rock Chicago West community.
They get the kids playing real songs at real shows in real venues very quickly, which is a great way to learn music and build confidence.
Private lessons help build technique, and ensemble classes teach cooperation, responsibility, and showmanship. And it’s all done in a fun, mutually supportive atmosphere.
The staff are very kind, accommodating, and welcoming. And it’s just so much fun to see young musicians grow in ability and confidence.
Send your aspiring musician here!
Great place to learn how to really enjoy and play great music.

Was really good instructor was patient and no pressure at all will go back.
This place is great! My daughter took an intro lesson to see what she thought. Being a teen she was nervous at first and hesitant to go. Came out of the building happy and excited. She loves her instructor and what’s she is learning. She would go every day if possible. They are professional, warm, fun, and friendly. My child loves this place!
They have a cool program where you can do lessons on your instrument or voice. And then, if you choose to you can join a band also which meets there weekly. You get to decide what level you sign up for. It’s been a huge hit with my kiddo! Wish I had signed my older child up years ago.
They offer a really great program and we are so happy a friend turned us on to it!
No one asked for this review- we are just that happy about it.
Just started and i already love it!
So I took my son for a trial run with a group of kids at this school last week on a Monday at the Madison Rd location, which he was so excited about, so he went in with (i forget her name..jenny?) and he was just excited about all the instruments, it was only him and another boy. I guess my son was too much for her because she said that he was not really focused on just one instrument and kind of all over the place and recommend Music Therapy because she is a music therapist and that an hour was too much for him, ( I was kind of shock and a little hurt that I didn’t even ask her any other questions, but said ok and left) but she didn’t recommend her services for a personal session or anything, so my husband called the next day and asked about the lady (the music therapist) that did the trial run with Aaron if she can call him back and recommend her services or if she has a referral. its been a little over a week and she has not returned his call. I also did tell them in the beginning he has a vision impairment) I just wish someone would of reached out and recommended something because my son loves music and he is not a bad kid.
Mom’s Music

Had to get a keyboard for my granddaughter. I knew nothing but by the end of talking to sales person I had enough information to purchase the one that was the best fit for her. Fantastic place and people.
Bought a marshall DSL 40 combo amp. At a great price.
Mom’s music is clearly the best music store in Louisville. The personalized service particularly from Howard and the team make it the place to go if you need anything related to music! Their inventory is extensive and the guys make complex equipment usable and understandable. Thanks to the team for taking care of my needs!
Moms is a great place run by nice people.
Great in-store experience looking over the drums, although while the salesman played them, he wouldn’t let me. I had every intention of buying a Ludwig kit, but he changed my mind and now I am open to a Yamaha. Well, I was. I was told to call back on Monday (I visited last Saturday). I called yesterday and today (Tues.) twice each day in the middle of the day. No option to leave a message, no explanation as to why they weren’t able to answer the phone. I emailed the salesman (young guy, longish hair), no response. End of story. I will be buying at Fork’s Drum Closet in Nashville. Sorry, Mom’s.
UPDATE: Came back, bought the Yamaha kit, cymbals, and a Yamaha mixer. Owner was personally involved. Raised from 3 to 4 stars.
I like Mom’s a lot. Customer service is their Forte. Will update post after I get a Tele back they are doing a pickup swap on.
Customer service can be improved. I visited Mom’s world today, 7/13/2019 at around 12:20PM and Tommy was the front desk person. I inquired about piano lessons and I stated my goals clearly. Obviously, he did not listen to my piano goals because I had to say my goals again and my point was if it lessons can be customized. I was not finished yet with my inquiries and he went back to what he was doing. I asked his name because I was getting uncomfortable and his response was the piano teacher’s name (a feminine name). Talk about active listening. I hope it’s not because I don’t look like your typical “American” and/or my accent. Please be nice and attentive to all your customers. -Nico R
I called Moms Music to get some information on a product. The man who answered the phone wasn’t just rude, he was down right mean. I will never purchase anything from this store.
I arrived for a noon violin lesson and the salesperson, Howard, working the counter kept calling me “Hun.” Excuse me? You have no right to call me pet names. Then the instructor informs me that they have double booked my appt and he can’t see me. What rude, disgusting people. I will not go back.

Great staff, sleek facility, and lots of dope programming.
Very nice place and great people
Good customer service friendly when you’re checking in or leaving out…Always neat and clean, abiding by Covid rules and guidelines.
Been a member for over 4 years. Well worth the money! Only down fall is the hours, wish it was 24 hours.
The gym is nice, employees are nice. Absolutely hates how it closes at 8p. Therefore causing me to switch gyms; which I hate. So, if you’re someone like me who needs more time for a gym to be open then don’t chose this one.
This Y is a very nice facility, if you are looking for a good weight lifting AND family gym, go to downtown louisville Y. The Y in New Albany is beautiful, we’ll maintained with great pool and water area. More family and group oriented than it is towards good weight and cardiovascular workouts though.
Smoke box Sunday spinning classes. So for those people that have a hard time breathing in smoke don’t come to this class. I’m highly disappointed i go to the spin class 4 times a week. And love every second of it. I understand smokers don’t have a issue with smoke smells but its very selfish for others that can not endure these smells. And then for the instructor to make a mean comment after I walked out of the class after 40 minutes of what felt like me holding my breath. Is this the real Y behind the doors? Making fun of people that habe health issue’s? Why are their prices so high if they offer such a low health environment? And what i make a complaint on a paper that goes in a box? How is this just?
We decided to go to this Y instead since it was a few minutes closer, but we were sadly disappointed! We went in the warm pool with our 10 month old since the water is much warmer (and appropriate for a baby) and she enjoys it. After about 30 minutes and after someone else left the pool then came back, a manager and lifeguard came to tell us we had to get out and are “restricted” to the other pool. We tried the other pool for about 2 minutes before our daughter was shivering and ready to go. We’ve never had any issues at Clark Y and will only be going there from now on
If you have a child of color, don’t sign them up for kinder camp. They will nitpick everything your child does and force you out of the program.
