My bass teacher is very knowledgeable, very flexible towards meeting my goals and adapting to my strengths and weaknesses. Is really pleasant to work with. I look forward to my lessons knowing that I’m going to get value out of attending while having fun doing so.
We have two children aged 12 and 9 at school of rock, and our oldest is entering her third year with the program. We are VERY happy with the instruction they receive, the group performances, and the overall supportive environment that Freddy, Wilbur, Paz, and the rest of the team create for these young musicians. At the last season performance we were absolutely blown away when our daughter sang a song and owned the stage. It has been amazing to watch her growth as a musician and look forward to seeing her futher grow with the help of School of Rock Watertown.
Our kids went to School of Rock for the Beatles week this August. They are 13 yrs old and we are from Spain. They enjoyed the band instructors, both group practice and one-on-one sessions and learned so much. It was a challenge to talk about and learn music in English, even though they have a very good level of speaking and understanding, it’s always difficult to get used to an environment in another language. They practiced at home, watched all the videos and learned all of the songs. The final performance was very impressive and its was great to see them rockin out with other kids. I would recommend this program to anyone who has young teens interested in music. The staff were very kind and seem to have lots of experience with kids. It was a great week! Thanks
My grandson had a camp week there and put on a band concert for family members. They did a good job considering the lack of prep time.
Our kid attended there for 3 months and his teachers changed 4 times! A few times they couldn’t find teacher at all and once they called us 5 mins before the class to cancel it, when we were parked at their place.
They asked us whether he could attend classes during Xmas and new year holidays, we said no, we would be out of town. Classes were not postponed but canceled without refund. We don’t have any clue why we were asked if it wasn’t going to be arranged.
All in all we are super unhappy with the lack of organization.
Make sure you are not telling them you will be canceling your subscription right before the holiday season starts! It’s not gonna matter if you tell them in advance that your child will not be attending during the holiday and you need to schedule a make up class; you will get a response saying “ it is what it is, I do not have any availability “ and my son’s classes canceled without any reimbursement!!!!! what an unprofessional attitude is that? Plus we been pretty kind even though we were not satisfied since me and my son started taking classes. They couldn’t find a teacher for me which was ok, I respect that there were shortages all over the country with many aspects. But my son (5y) had a 3-4 different teachers over the last 3 months, kids couldn’t settle down! Couple of times they canceled the class at the very last minute where we parked our car in front of the building; besides we drive 40 minutes to get there!!! what do you think all is that really fair????

My son (12) plays drums, and my daughter (14) plays guitar. We’ve been going to SoR Natick since late February and they are having a great time.
It is expensive, especially with two kids going at the same time, but if you count the 2.5 hours a week of rehearsal time + the .75 hours a week of instruction time it comes out to about $23/hour ($325 a month divided by ~14 hours/month). Granted they are not playing for the full 2.5 hours of rehearsal time, it’s still a good value if you consider music store lessons are $25-$35 for a *half* hour.
The performance program also encourages the kids to practice more often then when they were taking individual lessons. If you value working as a team as a valuable life skill, but your child is not a team sports kind of kid (or maybe you’re not a team sports kind of parent…) SoR is a great program for them to learn work as a team while building a skill they’ll have for life.
I have been learning electric guitar here for 2 years best session of my people here are so nice and helpful
How much fun is this! A terrific path towards learning an instrument…. proving the School of Rock is for all ages (I’m 56)…… my son, 10, inspired me…
Total blast.

Our experience with School of Rock Wakefield has been fantastic. My son takes guitar and drum lessons with the talented instructor, Josh. Under his guidance, my son has grown as a musician and gained confidence. Being part of the 101 rock band has been amazing, with exhilarating performances and remarkable progress. The school provides a nurturing environment, supportive staff, and top-notch facilities. They offer a comprehensive musical education, inspiring creativity and fostering a love for music. We highly recommend School of Rock Wakefield for any aspiring musician.

My daughter has finally found her passion…. she enjoys her class and looks forwards to her weekly lesson… We as parents, enjoy the band performances and see our daughters confidence grow with each performance. Baby steps, but getting there. Really happy with the manager, David. He is always ready to assist with scheduling and answering all our questions….very happy with the School of Rock- Lynn.
Wonderful staff and teachers all with a passion for music and helping students reach the next level. Kids learn not only how to become better musicians, but more importantly how to work together to put on a show. Very collaborative and supportive environment.
Unfair and whilst going I never felt very welcomed

My son loves the format, can’t recommend this method enough, he’s very engaged and enthusiastic about going to lessons! The owner Mark and his employees are very nice and accommodating to my son and I. We highly recommend School of Rock Burlington!
Our kids had a blast at School of Rock camp with Mark, Celine, and Hannah. I cannot recommend this method and team enough! our kids had no real music experience and came out of the camp excited to learn more and hone their new skills as music lovers. Thank you!
