Our child is thrilled going to DC School of Rock. Now he wants to go every day. The attention that he gets is unbelievable. Thank you so much to Chris and his team for delivering marvelous experience for our kids. Keep up the great work!
My son is a drummer and joined to apply his years of lessons into a real band situation that the other music lesson place did not offer. He LOVES it. Staff are fantastic and he has made some great friends here too! Highly recommend.
My five year old loved the school! She feels like a rock star 🙂
Beware! While the program might be interesting, the Cleveland Park location is poorly run and it will bring you more headaches than benefits.
Owner contacted me about working there, was rude and inconsiderate on the phone. Very disappointing.

Welcoming and supportive staff. Instructors are professional and positive with the kids. We love the performance aspect & that the kids are able to work together as a band. Highly recommend!
The best music school ever. I would give 10 stars if possible. My daughter started because she was a very shy kid and all attention and care of the teacher made her a much more happier and self-confident child. Music can make magic on someone life. Now beside a happy kid, I listen to awesome guitar music as bonus! Thank you so much School of Rock Alexandria!
We have 100% appreciated how hard School of Rock has worked to open and keep classes on schedule this last Covid year. The method app has been a good way to communicate assignments and keep my teen boy on track. Thanks all for the good work and even better concerts!

School of Rock camps are excellent. The performance-based instruction is great for kids who want to just jump in and play. The instructors are fun and kind and do a great job at running an inclusive camp session. The instructors and interns lead by example resulting in the campers getting along, feeling included, and appreciating the talents they each bring to the band.
All I can say is “Thank God for School of Rock”! We’ve been there for about 3 years but couldn’t be more grateful for them during this pandemic! Thank you for being there for us. I recommend anyone trying to learn an instrument right now on any other on-line platform, try School of Rock. They are being so careful, social distancing, but still finding a way to let the kids rock out!
So organized! Brian is incredible. Also instructors seem well-vetted, I have sense that they take care with choosing teachers, they pay close attn to safety (and not just in terms of COVID — also things like not emailing kids directly, Facebook link is through parents, etc.). I love how they give kids leadership opportunities (e.g. interning in the summer). And they give kids choice (e.g. in song selection, instruments). We have rarely had to change a lesson time, but when we have, they are SO helpful. Honestly, can’t say enough good about SoR Vienna!!!

My 5 and 8 year old boys had a blast at summer camp at B2R bethesda. The counselors/teachers are very engaging and the end of week concert at Caddie’s is the highlight for everyone
Great atmosphere, professional staff, and very engaging activities!!
The Beat Refinery instructors are very knowledgeable, helpful, and engaged.
My son had fun and learned about playing songs together.
Great vibe in the studio!
Do not enroll in music lessons at Bach to Rock. As a former instructor there, I can attest that the curriculum is full of errors, the instructors and administrators are largely incompetent, and the meager wage paid to the staff is entirely exploitative. There are more than enough qualified private and affiliated music instructors in the DMV area for you or your child to receive a quality music education. At Bach to Rock you will only waste your money and time, and possibly even damage your child’s musical development. The directors of this company should be ashamed of themselves for attempting to pass this exploitative, profit-driven scheme as music education. An added note that illuminates just how disingenuous this company is: there is no Bach in their “curriculum.” Bach to Rock is like if you had a restaurant called Sandwiches and Coffee, but only sold really terrible, stale instant coffee.
Our experience was not so great. During a couple of lessons, the guitar instructor to our daughter told her he was extremely tired from having stayed out all night. Additionally, when my daughter was sick and we needed to cancel her lesson we were told we’d be charged anyway.
