The classes are small and you get a lot of personal attention. Acting classes are $65 per month, either Paul or Elbert teaches and you go upstairs in a room and pick your favorite scene beforehand. They are all very supportive and passionate about what they teach!
PopRock Academy is great! We are so fortunate to have Paul (the owner) in SGV to provide this platform for kids to explore acting, singing and other performing arts.
My daughter has been taking her piano lesson from Poprock since 2013. Piano became part of her life. She learns alot! Thank you Poprock.
Everything! The environment is supportive and happy and inclusive. The teachers are WONDERFUL! The staff is happy and helpful and lovely. My kid and I take classes and we look forward to them every week. Truly can’t recommend this treasured place enough!
From the owners and general manager to the teachers and other staff, SOR Burbank provided me with top-notch service and opportunities. These people are committed to bringing the music out of their students and on to the stage. Their programming for kids is great and they are currently growing the adult programs. So…got music? What are you waiting for? Check out School of Rock Burbank 🙂
Fantastic programming and staff. Great communication with community.

My son is 7 years old and LOVES going to drum lessons and band practice. The teachers are so nice and understanding. They teach in such a way that allows kids to have fun and learn at the same time-shout out to George and John! My son has really found his niche here and I really enjoy the families and other teachers I have met there too. All around a great organization!
I have been going to the School of Rock for a couple of months. The group lessons (band) are really fun and motivate you to keep practicing in order to keep up with the rest of the group. I have taken traditional music lessons, however they get boring and I lost interest. The School of Rock lets you play the music you want while teaching the theory at the same time. The teachers are awesome and the atmosphere is rad. Basically, this place rocks.
My grandkids liked here.
Santa Monica Music Camp

They’re organized. They’re fun. The band names/playlists are so creative and expose my child to an array artists and musical styles. The location is great, and drop-off and pick-up are really easy. My child loves it! She loves the teachers, the music, the other kids, and the shows. Rehearsal is the thing she looks forward to most each week. Also, I love that I’m not constantly getting bills–they just charge my credit card and I don’t have to mess with anything.
I love that School of Rock sparks a passion to become a great musician, learn multiple instruments and be an integral member of the band. This experience is unparalleled and provides a much more enhanced musical education beyond private music lessons. The group environment is extraordinarily dynamic, exacts demanding expectations from each musician and propels these kids to greatness.
Great staff great location great music
Kelly who “runs” the school is absolutely awful. She is unprofessional, combative, lacks follow-up skills, lacks customer service skills, and is incredibly rude and unable to resolve conflict. I would never send my child to a place that is run by a person like Kelly. That said, I pulled my child out of the summer camp.

Really great program. Very encouraging an patient with my son. I have seen him grow and his musical talents improve
My daughters are receiving piano and drum lessons from Darvin and Chad, respectively. They are both very kind, patient and understanding towards my girls individual learning abilities. They make lessons so fun that my girls are always looking forward to their private lessons. They also have group class, Rock 101, and the kids have so much fun. It’s so great to see how easily the kids interact with one another and how much fun they have jamming together. Drew, at the front desk is very helpful in answering all my questions and scheduling classes as well as with rescheduling. When my youngest is ready for lessons, I’ll definitely be signing her up here as well.
Very friendly environment. My grandson takes drum lessons and loves it. He has taken drum lessons elsewhere and he was not very enthusiastic about it so we switched him to School of Rock and he can not wait to get there!

School of Rock Huntington Beach
Address: 18584 Main St, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 , La Puente , California , United States
My time at School of Rock Huntington Beach has progressed to being part of the adult performance band. Here I have learned new songs, new chords, new rhythms and most of all how to play with a group of people and sound like a band. The end of season performance on stage in front of an audience is both scary and exciting. But I had not really achieved my childhood dream of being a rock star by playing alone in my room. Being on stage is where it really happens. And School of Rock can help you do it.
My 8 year old twins had an amazing time at Rock Camp! I cannot believe how good they did after just a week of playing with the other kids. They had fun, were inspired, and learned a lot. I am really impressed with the program and so happy that they had this experience!
The most amazing experience for any child and any family.
It’s an ok school there can be sassy people if your going into juniors it’s worst if you are a hyper person you will most likely be liked for a little while and then when someone does a mean thing you will probably be mad but there’s the good times to

All of the staff are professional and amazing! My child is always excited to go to class/rehearsals and loves learning. The communication is great from the school and staff and the amount of personal attention from the owner is amazing. I would recommend School of Rock to everyone!
Our son has attended SoR for four years. Terrific program, great teachers. Really love that they get to perform onstage at the end of the season.
I took drum lessons for almost a year and the entire experience was overwhelmingly positive. Krystina, the assistant manager, was super welcoming from day one. Super responsive and helpful, and always a pleasure to chat with while waiting for my lessons. Indigo is the dude!!!! She’s so patient, energetic, and was always so stoked to share her passion through teaching music. She also took such care to help me break down my inner saboteur that impedes my progress, and to view my learning as a fun journey to move through at my own pace. Although I still have a ways to go, I’ve become quite a bit more confident with Indigo’s guidance.
I had to quit due to work obligations, but I’d come back in heartbeat. Thank you for everything, Krystina and Indigo!

Amazing school with amazing teachers! Great experience for all.
My daughter has attended LRRS for the past year and she says it’s the best thing that she’s ever been a part of…She looks forward to her lessons every week and would not miss them for the world! She came in as a shy girl playing only the piano and now plays the guitar and sings too! She has so much confidence now it really amazes me! I am so thankful to have found Tyler and this school…It’s really changed her life! This place has become a second home for her. She absolutely adores the students and teachers here…They are truly gifted, inspiring and caring.
I love everything about this Rock School. Both of my kids take lessons and get to rock out in cool shows. They absolutely love it! The staff is kind, supportive and fun. It truly is an experience they can’t get anywhere else.
Los Rios Rick school is a place where our son is aught by amazing professionals, gets to be in a live performing band, and has fun. We’ve been at the school 4 years and our son loves it! Phil, is teacher is so talented, patient, and flexible!
My son has loved getting to learn how to play music with Gustavo – he’s the best! He is patient and does a great job teaching him how to play while making sure to keep it fun. We’re excited for him to continue to learn more so he can take advantage of all that Los Ríos has to offer!

This is the college I want to go to, but I might have some more singing colleges that I want to go to
Veryy
I attended the Drummer’s Reality Camp last summer and it was AWESOME .
We toured the DW facility and the teachers were amongst some of the best drummers in the land.
loved beeing there.Great guys unsauber music
A lot of top notch players in the industry teach here. Many of them teach at other schools in the area. I attended for the jazz program; one of LACM’s newer degrees.
If you are considering attending here, the best advice I could give you is to drop by the school and learn more about the program(s) you are interested in, if you can. That way you will know what you’re signing up for before you sign up to attend.
The school, at this point, is slightly pressed for space and some classes are forced to meet at 9pm or 10pm.
The school only has a small number of practice rooms. About 8 rooms, total. That’s slightly problematic when you’re sharing with multiple ensembles. A big band can have, on average, about 20 players. If many of them are practicing at the same time, you may not be able to find a practice room. A lot of students have to have their private lessons in practice rooms because of the lack of facilities. That makes finding a practice room harder.
I had a couple of classes in the “Garage”, or the north building. It was frustrating to me because that building is also full of administration offices and has the school’s visitor center. I had an ensemble class in there, and it was distracting to hear teachers talking and walking through to other rooms, administrators making business calls, etc.
Definitely come by and see if the school would be a good fit before you attend.
Composing for visual media major of this school is incredibly terrible. Curriculum is cheap. No one teaches how to compose, analyze and study music. No one teaches style of each composer deeply. Every lecture of only this faculty is superficial. It’s not enough to be a composer, but unfortunately they think it’s enough. And teachers of this faculty don’t teach seriously(Davich and Tom Hiel are terrible, especially Hiel is the worst teacher I’ve ever met because of his laziness). Of course there are good teachers, but you have few chance to meet them because they are busy. We must know that good player isn’t always a good coach. Actually they work at real music industry, but it doesn’t mean they can teach well. After all, names of these famous people are used to tempt people who don’t know anything and think by themselves at all. I was a person like this, and I regret that It took so long time to notice this thing. I hope no one who has motivation to study hard is betrayed by bad teachers. Only people who understand my frustration are guys of front desk.
By the way, performance faculty of this school is very nice, I think.
ok to meh

Great teachers & staff. Highly recommend this for any age.
Awesome! Perfect for kids without any experience or kids with experience.
I have a 10 year old that started drum lessons at this school of rock about 3 month ago. Wanted everyone to know that the entire staff at this school is amazing. They all enjoy working with kids and it is always a positive and up beat vibe. Great environment for our kids. My son is also very blessed and fortunate to have Jeremy colson as a drum teacher. Jeremy is not only a very accomplished professional drummer but also has a passion for working with kids. What a great environment. They have also continued having lessons using zoom and it has been extremely successful. Again with positive energy poise and patience you can be successful. My son always looks forward to his lessons every week. Big shout out to school of rock Santa Clarita. You guys are awesome!!
