My girl was super excited about the camp. Every day she would come home and show off what she learned or new composition she had composed. She was so sad that it ended and wished it was longer than just a week. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
American Music Institute summer camp suppose to be fun for all ages.
My kids loved the camp. They learned a ton in a week. Definitely a great find in Downers.

I recently sent my child to School of Rock in Frankfort, Illinois, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience all around. Not only did my child put on an amazing performance after three months of practice, but as a parent, I also got to enjoy the waiting room with some seriously comfortable couches.
While my child was busy rocking out in their lesson, I sat back and relaxed on one of the plush couches, sipping coffee and feeling like a VIP. It was almost like being in a swanky lounge, except instead of cocktails and jazz music, we had guitars and rock ‘n’ roll.
And let me tell you, the waiting room wasn’t just comfortable – it was also a great place to connect with other parents who were there to support their own little rockstars. We swapped stories about our kids’ progress and cheered each other on during the final performance.
Overall, I highly recommend School of Rock in Frankfort. Not only will your child get an incredible music education, but as a parent, you’ll get to enjoy some seriously comfortable couches and a community of like-minded music-loving parents. It’s a win-win!
Worked with Skylar on a project and everything was lovely. Thank you Skylar!!!
Instructors are very flexible with lessons including schedules and content. Instructors are very knowledgeable in course content. All the staff are friendly and outgoing. They enhance the experience.
Summer Camp is so much fun for my guitarist! It brings out the little rockstar in her. I love the energy of the teachers and how they inspire the kids to do their best! I would give it 5 out of 5 stars, but the cost is high for lessons and camp.

Wonderful experience for our youngest daughter and for the entire family
Awesome music school, especially the performance program. Great community of kids.
Very thankful and excited to be sending my kid to the school of rock. Watching my daughter have an activity that has turned into a passion and confidence builder where she has learned to play guitar and sing in front of an audience has been transforming for her. Great group of instructors, great group of kids, and knowing she has a hobby/skill that she can use for a lifetime is so gratifying……

Naperville School of Rock is awesome. My daughter loves going to her lesson. They make learning exciting and fun. I would and have recommended the school to many.
School of Rock has been a great experience for my daughter. She has learned to play great music and perform on stage with a band. Best of all, she has made new friends and has had a lot of fun. The performances are always fantastic and enjoyable for friends and family. I cannot recommend School of Rock Naperville highly enough!
Great teachers & a great experience for my son
My 10-year old son had been a student at SOR Naperville for over two years. At 8 1/2, after begging him to practice and play piano for 3 years, I finally asked, “What instrument would you be willing to practice? The answer, “drums”. This prompted us to enroll him in private lessons which eventually led to Rock 101. Since then, he has performed in 3 live shows and he considers SOR his home away from home. We have seen him gain so much self-confidence and a sense of who he is from this experience. Their approach to learning is unique and builds a community of artists and creates an outlet for kids who otherwise would not have one.
Living in a community like Naperville, kids are fortunate to be exposed to so many different activities at a very young age. Like many families, we started out in soccer and Tball with our son. It became clear early on that team sports was not his “groove” and that he would have to find someplace else to excel. We would never have guessed at that time that it would be School of Rock. Their approach to learning music motivates kids to practice and improve so that they do not let down their “team” of musicians and so that they are ready to perform on their performance date. Taking both a group and private lesson each week really increases their retention and confidence.
He has not only learned the drums and bass guitar, but he is now begging us for vocal lessons! We knew SOR was the right place for him when on a 3rd grade writing assignment he wrote, ” I feel most at home at School of Rock.” “I love to stay late after my lesson and read my book while I wait for my Mom”. To know that our son feels like he fits in and that he feels so comfortable there is very reassuring to us. Each of his coaches has encouraged and motivated him differently and he respects that they all are live performers and can speak from their experience on stage.
We feel like part of the School of Rock Naperville family and are proud to say so! The owner and manager have always been grateful for our business, accommodated all of our scheduling requests and taken great care of our son!
The Chitwood Family
This is a fun-filled and energy-filled place. It’s a great afters-long-school-day activity for the kids to follow. When they need to run off some of their bottled-up energy into something productive yet fun: Not too structured, not too sitting down without moving.
Have had rather negative experiences here with the instructors and overall learning environment. Will need to look elsewhere.

Staff is great and really know how to keep kids excited about learning and playing music.
We love everything about this place. Both our boys are students. And we love our School of Rock Chicago West community.
They get the kids playing real songs at real shows in real venues very quickly, which is a great way to learn music and build confidence.
Private lessons help build technique, and ensemble classes teach cooperation, responsibility, and showmanship. And it’s all done in a fun, mutually supportive atmosphere.
The staff are very kind, accommodating, and welcoming. And it’s just so much fun to see young musicians grow in ability and confidence.
Send your aspiring musician here!

Everything – the kids, instructors & staff are all great. Just a fun, safe environment for kids to rock.
Fun and with outstanding instructors!
Disappointing. I have two kids there. They decided to switch my kids lesson whither I liked it or not, because her teacher was needed elsewhere. They were having her teacher teach a group class. So they inconvenienced us to make more money whither we liked it or not.
My other child is in group kids class, it doesn’t seem like he’s learning anything. He spent one day drawing a picture of drums and played no music. It’s more like music themed daycare than music lessons. Classes start late every week.
I was using SoR in Elmhurst. They rarely had the same teacher from week to week, at least there each kid got to play their own instruments for the class. My scheduled changed and they don’t have Sat classes. Usually with the franchisee model things are held together a lot better.
It’s too bad because I like the model where kids play together.

Awesome place to learn and better yourself as a musician! Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and great at inspiring the students to learn music! The School of Rock method is streamlined through professional means to keep that consistency with the successful franchise. The location is very clean, easy to navigate, decor is elevated all around and COVID-19 precautions were in place when it was needed most, still optionable I believe at request. Learning music can inspire confidence for somebody of any age, it’s invaluable and although it could be very tough to learn instruments it can be very fufilling, very good for the brain as well! I myself have taken lessons in the past from private teachers all the way through college level classes and having the system in place is highly effective, curtailed to modern technology like apps. Pricing is reasonable, the skills for life are worth unpinching any penny. What would I change? Perhaps building a small stage to lift drums off floor in band rooms, T.V in the back lobby, more soundproofing including foam, diffusion and although this is more of a franchise suggestion, adding music studio/production/recording elements to the mix! Also, more raises for the drum teachers!! Great location!

My son Chris has been going there since the school open. He loved his time in Rock 101 and got to experiment with different instruments. He started on drums and has since moved on to electric guitar and LOVES it! Recently he moved up to the performance group and was proud of himself for the promotion. The concerts are fantastic and the social aspect is a huge plus! Honestly it has been one of the best activities we have found!
I love it so much me teacher is the best
I am very disappointed with the work of the School of Rock Plainfield, in the 9 days that have passed since the agreement on a trial lesson for my six-year-old daughter, none of the managers of the School of Rock Plainfield checked and noticed that the lesson time was not set correctly, and when we arrived, they simply offered to come to the next week. My child was very upset because all this time, she was looking forward to this lesson, and I had to think carefully and reschedule her other classes for the time of the scheduled lesson. I was upset that the manager did not even consider it necessary to approach us. She spoke to me, standing at the opposite end of the hall. I don’t know how they teach music, but the management is very unprofessional.

I have been coming here for around 5-6 years and I can confirm that all teachers here are amazing. The bands are also great.
This place is great! My son is excited to go to his keyboard lessons every week, has an amazing teacher, and loves his Rock 101 band practices! 10 out of 10!
Exposure to great venues and live performances in community festivals/fairs. Positive environment and awesome staff and teachers! Love School of Rock Highwood!!

My kids LOVE School of Rock! It’s been one of the best investments we’ve made so far.
This is a great place for your kids to learn an instrument. One lesson per week and you are put with a band on Saturdays for band practice.
My daughter loves coming for voice lessons with Bailey and her confidence as a singer has grown immensely! Bailey has taught her so much already and participating in an actual performance has been such a rewarding experience. I always have appreciated the communication and friendliness of everyone at School of Rock, it is obvious they love what they do. Thank you Bailey, Angela & Joey!
Inept management and an absentee owner that couldn’t care less about the well being of the students. There inability to effectively communicate and problem solve made it a nightmare to work there. The students are fantastic and the staff is good too. Poor management that needs to be replaced. I would highly suggest looking into private lessons elsewhere.
OVERPRICED & lacking for an inadequate musical education. Staff is inappropriate to teach children. My kid got hurt there due to the sloppiness. Owner & staff didn’t seem to care or take his injuries seriously. They just want you to pay, but don’t know what they’re doing in terms of tending to kids needs or teaching the fundamentals of music. I won’t be trusting my kids alone with them in the future.
Not what you need if you want to have your child to learn the fundamentals of music, learn how to become a better musician, improve on their instrument. No this is not that place. if your child wants to just “jam out” and play whatever along with other students of (somewhat) similar musical level then you’ll find that here.

My son has enjoyed all his School of Rock teachers and the many opportunities they provide to expand his musical interests.
We LOVE SOR!!! Our children’s lives would be totally different without SOR. We adore the staff and the environment that they cultivate. The peer relationships which are encouraged and fostered in the group setting are hands-down a highlight of the band experience. My daughter is a vocalist, but she has been encouraged to work with keys and even wants to explore other instruments now. (YAY!!!) Her teacher, Rachel, is one of the most influential people in her life. She has had a tough few years at school, but she knows that her music and the time she spends with Rachel and the band have “saved her.” She says that all the time. My son plays the electric guitar and he doesn’t respond well to all teachers, but he appreciates his teacher so much and is finally “getting it” thanks to the patience of Lucas. It took him a while to appreciate practicing, but Lucas and him have such a sweet bond and my son loves what he’s learning. The other day (after not wanting to practice) he had a musical breakthrough and after playing for a while said, “I love the guitar. I want to do this for the rest of my life.” As his mom, I couldn’t be prouder. I am so thankful for the relationships and opportunities that SOR has provided for my family. 🙂
The experience has been excellent since ownership changed a few months ago. There is a great all around staff, group instructors, and leadership. The group-focused, song-first approach, helps students accelerate their learning experience. I highly recommend the School of Rock program, and the Arlington Heights location in particular.
They do an excellent job trying to ensure the student experience is a positive and rich one. My daughter loves her instructor.
listened at the show at the library, very good.

I absolutely love the vibes here, give you a sense of home and comfort. the staff are patient, kind, sweet and knowledgeable. this school reminded me of my home school back in Austin Texas, would highly recommend taking your kid with talent to become a great musician here!
So many talented children… Bravoo boys & girls you Rock!!!
My daughter loves the zoom voice lessons and her in person band practices.
My son had an awesome time at School of Rock today.
Love School of Rock! The approach of mixing individual lessons with a band of peers and actual performances is perfect for learning and staying motivated. The instructors are great, and the bands have a chance to play venues all over the area. We have been with the school since they opened a few years ago. Our son has moved from guitar and bass to drums, and had a great experience with each instrument. The staff is responsive and friendly, the kids have developed real friendships, and they are playing great music (no hot cross buns played on repeat at this school).
Kind and informative. But not very professional on the phone.
