Both of my kids had lessons in this program (piano, clarinet, ukele) and I can’t say enough good things about it. They not only learned musicianship but also developed self-confidence and a love of music.
I feel that the community school of music does a wonderful job at offering a wide variety of musical options for students. It doesn’t matter what age you are or instrument you play. You are valued as a musician at any level!
Non-credit individual lessons are provided in: piano, voice, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Each semester the Community School of Music also provides recitals for our students. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable performance skills in a professional environment.

Started taking guitar lessons last year at the ripe old age of 79 at Greystone studio. Having wonderful experience with teacher and staff. I am sure my learning is much slower than the kids that I see there, but I really enjoy it. As I wait for my lesson time I see a lot of interaction between various teachers and young students, and it is all very positive. My teacher understands my pace of learning and structures my lessons and time accordingly. Overall, very enjoyable and productive,
Been taking guitar lessons at the Greystone location since January. My 11 year old son has been taking drum lessons since March. Whether you are young and wanting to learn an instrument or a 43 year old like me wanting to finally check off a bucket list, I cant think of a better experience than the staff and instructors at Mason Music. Both Eytan(my guitar instructor) and Kevin( my sons drum instructor) are great teachers, are very encouraging, and make learning to play music fun. Everyone on the staff, Jay, Savannah, and Sam are very accommodating to schedules and do a great job running the school. If you were thinking of whether Mason Music is for your kids or not, check out their Rock Band League. I just wish there would have been something like Mason Music for my generation coming up.
Phenomenal experience learning piano from William. It can be intimidating trying to completely learn a new instrument as an adult, but they did a great job helping my wife and I feel comfortable, learn, and have a blast at the same time!

Mason Music Rocks!! We have been there just over a year and my son loooks forward to going every week. Our instructor Brett, is so talented and he wants to teach the students music that they can relate to and enjoy. He is easy going and encourages his students to do their best. Overall the staff has been accommodating to all our needs.Carlos is an amazing ASM. He always has a smile on his face!! Rock On Carlos!!
Great experience overall, from registration to lessons and any things needing addressed so far. My child is enjoying and advancing in his skillsets of guitar and voice, both instructors are A+
I explored various avenues for getting back to playing the piano but nothing seemed ideal until I ran across Mason Music. It has been an excellent experience from my initial contact, through identifying the right instructor, to the lessons themselves. I am thoroughly enjoying myself and highly recommend this place to anyone from beginners to fallen away players like me!

We love Mason Music Cahaba Heights! Bri is so kind and helpful too! This is the best place to take music lessons for kids and adults!
Mason Music Cahaba Heights has been a wonderful experience for my child. She has taken voice lessons and most recently drum lessons. David Roberts at Cahaba Heights is an amazing teacher who has given my daughter so much confidence and knowledge about drums. The staff is always so kind and accommodating.
Both of my daughters take lessons here and they did a great job pairing them with teachers that match their interest and needs. They enjoy going to their lessons each week with Gabe and Charity and the office is so organized.

An AMAZING experience! My son and his friend went this year for 1 week for the first time and we all were blown away by the caliber of the program and by all of the caring, supportive, patient staff. The nurturance for each student as musicians is impressive. Their passion for the art of music is contagious and my son can’t wait to go back again next year- for 2 weeks this time! Thank you Camp Jam for all you do!!
Son attended Chicago camp, first time camper this year, he says it was the best week of his entire life. We are signed up for both weeks next year!

Rnjoyed a Christmas program by the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra
Have been in and been to many concert in the this hall. Beautiful music hall.
Beautiful location, very nice, was here for MS honor band.
False advertising.
I have been to the Moody Music Hall twice in the past few years to watch my children at MPA. The inside and outside of Moody Music Hall is beautiful but the courtyard outside is in need of some upkeep! It looks like when it rains it washes a lot of the mulch from around the building down into the low spot in the middle of the courtyard.
I HATDD PLAYING

Wonderful place for kids to learn music. Diverse knowledge base. Great instructors.
I have absolutely loved taking lessons through Mason Music. I was worried that it would be weird to take lessons as an adult, but it is a wonderful environment and the staff go above and beyond!
My son has really enjoyed playing electric guitar with Bret here! He always looks forward to coming and he has made steady progress. It is a highlight of his week.
Spicer’s Music
Address: 2140 E University Dr K, Auburn, AL 36830 , Jaramataia , Alabama , United States
Helpful staff. Great selection, especially guitars. Also have many options to choose from with pianos and other instruments. I had to order something they didn’t have in stock, and it came in within a couple days.
Any instment you need they have
Tim Spicer and his dad ar always welcoming and ready to help with questions.
If your a left handed guitar player not much of a selection there was only one guitar that was left handed. But you righties have huge selection to pick from was one of the nicest layout music stores in Auburn.
Nice place
Very helpful staff. Nice store.
Came in with my daughter, looking to purchase a 12 string guitar. 5 employees ignore us for over 15 minutes. They were busy looking at their phones, and speaking to one another. We waited patiently but not one person even acknowledged we were there. Sad.
Great selection and helpful staff.
Great music store. Very helpful and friendly staff
Wish this was still true.. horrible experience recently when attempting to purchase a expensive acoustic guitar. 6/27/22 Went back to make a 2k+ purchase and was informed that I was given the wrong price by a salesman 2 days before. They tried to give other options but not enough to compensate for what was told to me. Very disappointed in a music store I’ve been loyal to for years.

Best music department. Nothing but hilarious, talented, and caring teachers. Plus there’s a Starbucks in the building next door.
Great campus, beautiful facilities for all athletic events
Great!!!!
nice place, 2 thumbs up for alabama team!
go go go…fight fight…go ALABAMA
I am currently a student here. I am sure that all universities are like this but they seem to want to take your money first and then worry about your education later. It seems ridiculous to me that students have to graduate with 50 to $100,000 in student loans especially if they are in a field where it will be difficult to earn that money back.
Beautiful campus, sights are nice to see. Many of the club’s offer events open to the public which are always a blast
I didn’t even go to this school because admission doesn’t know what the hell they are doing and can’t get their stuff straight. They are a bunch of idiots!

Troy University
Address: 600 University Ave, Troy, AL 36082 , Jaramataia , Alabama , United States
Best University in Alabama and the South as well. Great class sizes beautiful campus and facilities.
Great school. You get out what you put in! Get involved and this is a special place to make great friendships that will last a lifetime. Only thing holding down this University is the city. The new Publix will be a great step in the right direction, and the square is slowly getting a breath of fresh air. A few more good chain restaurants and this place will have that college feel it deserves.
Great university! Kind people, beautiful campus, constantly improving in many areas!
Needs more dorms.
The operators WHO answer the 1800 number, have sent me to the wrong department every time I call. EVERY TIME.
I got an offer to study here but my parents didnt let me
As a former Troy student I found this institution very difficult to stay with. They discontinued the degree plan I was working towards, raised tuition after I left active duty and sent my financial refund to the wrong place.
I believed in the reputation of Troy University. From Jan- Oct I was sorely disappointed.

Unnecessary charges to students accounts and fails to tell why
Faculty and administrators need to work harder to ensure students can complete their degree program within four years. “Just take an extra semester” should not be the standard answer from faculty advisors every time there is a scheduling conflict (which is often!). The price you pay (literally!) for attending a small, cash-strapped school reliant almost entirely on tuition for funding, with limited course options.
I really wanted to like Montevallo, really I did, but it’s safe to say that I pretty horrible experience. In early 2020, me and mother shadowed the school and we both really liked it! At the time the school seemed lively, fun and everyone looked happy, but when the time came for me to go, it was an entirely different experience. I came in as an out-of-town transfer student that lived on campus and when I went, it was totally different experience. Everyone in the school seemed cold and unfriendly and with socially distancing and the mask mandate, it was nearly impossible to socialize. The campus seemed barren and desolate. My experience was a very lonely one and it effected me mentally. I had to end up dropping out because to it. I know there’s a pandemic going on, but you can’t just isolate kids and expect them to be okay with that.
