Really Nice and kind people and there teaching is unbelievable, they have the best teaching skills ever.

Our daughter has grown tremendously as a musician since starting at SOR St. Pete. The instructors and owners go above and beyond for their students and treat everyone like family! I look forward to many more years with this group and can’t wait until my younger children are old enough to participate!

Not a musician went with friend to see grandson play at the end of a summer camp. Great people top notch facility and the kids were having a blast.

Nice staff,fun classes. My daughter did a trail they explained everything and she was pumped. I had 2 more who wanted to do a trail too. However I have 3 children and to put all 3 in it would be 350 plus… The price is outrageous for normal working class families with more than 1 kid.

I attend the School of Rock for approximately 2 months and decided that it wasn’t the right group for me. There were some definitive factors which lead me to stop attending. Here are the pros and cons about the School of Rock:

1. Parking… the parking at the School of Rock cannot accommodate more than 7 – 9 people at one time. So if you’re unable to find a parking spot on the School of Rock’s premises, you’ll have to find parking elsewhere. This can become problematic when most of the parking on the street is taken up or unavailable. Eight times out of ten, the available parking spaces on the street are a couple hundred meters to a quarter mile away. I cannot confirm but I was told parking on the street was free for up to an hour.

2. Cost Per Lesson… The cost per lesson is on the high end of reasonable. The lessons should be longer given the amount of money you will pay per lesson.

3. Quality of Lesson… I don’t have anything negative to say about the lessons. The instructors, at least the one I was under, understand and know how to play their instruments and are able to teach effectively.

4. Schedule… Scheduling is and isn’t a problem at the School of Rock. I was able to schedule the lessons when it suited my personal schedule. The instructor I was assigned to was available on certain days of the week so ultimately, flexibility is dependent on your instructors and who you’re paired with. Although, I didn’t enjoy this experience at the School of Rock due to their rigid policy that is enforced when your unable to make it to the lesson the day of. See reason number #5.

5. Pre-Payments… Scheduling and this topic go hand and hand. The School of Rock will ask that you pay up front for all (4) lessons for the month. One would expect to have (4) lessons since they paid for (4) lessons but this is unfortunately not the case. Accident or not, you will pay the full amount of money despite not having attended a lesson the day of that lesson.

Conclusion:

I don’t have a problem with the instructors, in fact I believe the School of Rock has a good team of musicians capable of teaching students how to have a good foundation where they could learn to become better on their own, but the policy of the School of Rock is rather unforgiving.

The type of treatment of customers who pay for a service and get nothing in return is rather silly and I would hope for the School of Rock’s sake that I’m just a special case scenario. The reasons why this is the case are petty and unconvincing in my opinion and I don’t care enough to fight about it. The School of Rock will not show mercy on this topic.

Truly, I would have stayed longer had the School of Rock not been so stingy about their own policy.

You can most definitely find a private instructor who will not penalize you for missing a lesson, charges a similar amount of money per lesson and is as skillful as the level of those at School of Rock for more time elsewhere.

I sent my 7 year old son here because he began showing interest in musical arts. I had no prior experience with music only sports. My son Revan absolutely loves it! He’s learning how to play piano, guitar, and the upright bass! I had no idea he had these kind of talents. He loves going to lessons with Miss Toni and Mr Steve! They are so good with kids of all ages and I can’t wait to see him keep progressing in his talents. 10 out of 10! He loves taking after school lessons and they even have summer camps! This school is a blessing!

School of Rock Oviedo is absolutely amazing! They do so much for there students and for the local Orlando community. I’ve been at the school about 2 years now and it feels like home to me. Not only are the staff amazing musicians and teachers, but also amazing people. My first time going to the school I was so nervous but everyone was so welcoming and treated me just like family. To this day I’m happy to call myself a School of Rock Oviedo student and wouldn’t be where I am musically without there help. School of Rock, ROCKS.

Our daughter started at School of Rock shortly after they opened at age 9, with no experience playing an instrument. Within just a couple of months she was playing the guitar and performing on stage. The School of Rock approach is amazing and gets the kids interested in playing and improving from day one. The experience and confidence gained in learning an instrument, working together in a group and being able to perform onstage is invaluable. The instructors are without a doubt the best in the area in my opinion. Their collective knowledge, experience and patience is a big reason for the kids success. Our daughter considers her friends and instructors at SOR as her second family and I have watched her confidence, personality and talents grow over these past few years because of this “second family”. Thanks to Wes, Adam, Ron, Will, Joe, Heather, and the rest of the School of Rock staff for everything you do.

School of Rock has provided my daughter with so many valuable experiences and life lessons. Musically, Heather has been a wonderfully encouraging voice coach, enhancing our daughter’s vocal abilities and confidence. The performance aspect, working together with bandmates, has provided great lessons in working as a team…probably better than in most team sports. Adam has been great in that regard. She has also learned quite a lot about the production side of the business and has a more realistic view of the professional side of the music industry. I cannot recommend this business enough. It has been an absolutely fantastic growth experience for our daughter and we are so proud of all they have helped her become.

Great communication Wes handled a situation for me and we are very satisfied.

Great place to inspire the love of music. My 9 year old daughter loves rocking with the Rock 101 band to songs that I grew up with like Green Day, Foreigner, Joan Jett etc. It is truly a fun way to teach.

School of Rock was a big change in my Son’s life. Daniel (16) was in treatment of depression and once he started his Bass lessons with the teacher Colton Stone, he gets better and better every day. Wess the owner is a fantastic person and gaves to Daniel all support he needed.. Thank you so much School of Rock, you are the Best !

My son spent a month at the academy and it was one of the worst experiences we could have. My son attended classes on Wednesdays and on Saturdays. On Saturdays they rehearsed for the band. the last two weeks the teacher “Nick” did not want to teach him because he would not continue and he told my son who is only 16 years old that he was not wasting his time with him if he was not going to continue. If I pay for a whole month of classes, I have the right to demand all the classes during that month. Stay away if you don’t want to waste your time and money.

I was a student at this school. Absolutely horrible school the service is terrible, specifically the band director Nick is awful he doesn’t how to talk to students. For example, because I wasn’t going to continue on the band program he told me not to come back the next week that I had already paid for because I was wasting everyone’s time. I had already paid for the classes and had the right to participate. This is just unacceptable service. Don’t come here to waste your time and money

We love B2R! It’s convenient and the kids love it. I’ve been able to handle ALL the scheduling (and the very flexible rescheduling) via text. The kids have a lot of fun and really like their teachers–this has been a great experience.

They have been very easy going and able to accommodate our crazy schedule!!!
