Every experience I have had a the Buckhead School of Rock location has been fantastic. Paul the manager is super easy to work with and very knowledgeable – not only about their offerings but also about kids and families. Every instructor has had excellent rapport and seems to genuinely love their job. I like the road-map and the philosophy of learning. It’s an excellent model and it is well executed!
Our daughter, Jayden, has been singing for years now. This is her 4th year at School of Rock Atlanta. We were looking for someone who could help take her to the next level. Jayden plans to sing for a living. She’s in her second year of house band (would have been longer except we could not make the drive then). She is getting many, many opportunities to experience live stage performances. With all of the great vocal coaches and house band coaches, she’s almost ready to launch out! She’s already done a couple of paying gigs here in South Carolina with her older brother. (Yes, we drive 2 hours each way to get to Atlanta each week. That’s how beneficial for us this has been.)
Good training program for kids. There’s a summer camp where kids can work on a handful of songs for a week and perform them at the end at a local bar. It’s worth it!!!
Horrible pay for employees. Horrible treatment of employees. Horrible retention rate. It’s all about the money not about whats best for the students. Promised new facility for quite some time hasn’t happened. Manager is rude. Higher ups are rude with no regard or respect.
Very talented students.. They deserve better..

SOR has been a wonderful experience all around! Our son has found “his thing” and looks forward to both the jam sessions with his band and his 1:1 each week.
There method of one-on-one teaching followed by group performance really works. Everyone is motivated to practice and prepare to perform.
Great NEW school for all ages. Great teachers and friendly staff. I enjoyed the 1-on-1 lessons and added the group rehearsals to my purchase. The group rehearsals were fun because you get to play with other students and learn the same songs and perform live. I took adult lessons but I saw may young people in and out enjoying themselves as well. I would highly recommend and hope to return as a student in the future.

We love the friendly front desk staff, the super talented instructors and the great open mic events they conduct.. highly recommend this place
My children receive lessons from Bach to Rock, and they love it. The environment is welcoming, and my children feel successful on their instruments. I highly recommend!
Signed my daughter up for a mini camp while at the farmers market, paid with Venmo that day. When camp time came they tried to collect from me again – kind of disappointing and a valuable lesson. My daughter decided after a half day she wasn’t interested in attending anymore, said her music classes in school cover more than what she had learned in that morning session, thinking this is probably better for a younger audience and not pre/teens.
I take guitar lessons. Overall the lessons are good, but I expected some more methodical way of learning for the beginners like me. Like follow music books step by step to make the base strong first before move to the actual song. I think everyone should be treated like a kid when it comes to teaching. Unless you are making the base strong, no one can be actually successful playing.
The staff and management were less than friendly in handling my inquiries. Lucy is particularly at fault as she was very unprofessional in her dealings with me.

Just loving what my son is getting out of the program, skills, confidence, and mostly fun!
It’s actually fun! The one on one lessons are great in helping prepare for the group rehearsals, making me very much look forward to the upcoming performance. Knowing of the upcoming performance is also a good impetus to practice and be ready.
And actually playing and rehearsing in a group situation is such a unique experience!
Our grandson started initially with a summer camp at School of Rock. He fell in love and we couldn’t believe how quickly he learned. We began lessons that fall and we see constant improvement as well as his passion for drums has only grown in the year he’s taken lessons. The School of Rock method of combining private lessons with playing in a band really promotes a real love for music.
