Great music program for kids and adults. Makes learning an instrument fun for my kids and lets them learn the instruments they are interested in.
School of Rock is an entertaining, excellent experience. The staff is expert and friendly. I am thoroughly enjoying playing with enthusiastic, talented people.
There’s a lot of kids in these programs… some work harder than others and it’s clear they have their favorites. If you’re not one of them, it will just be an average experience, so don’t be fooled by the high ratings. Unless you really push for it, don’t expect much.

Great set of instructors that keep you engaged and excited to continue learning. Learn the songs you love not the songs from some book that nobody really wants to learn. Staff is very nice too. Can’t go wrong

The staff is phenomenal with kids. They make sure every kid is comfortable and move at their pace. My 6 year old son does private guitar lessons and also does the rookies class with my 4 year old daughter who is interested in drums. It’s only been a month and I love listening to both kids talk about what they’ve learned. Their love for making music has grown tremendously. I drive 45 minutes every week just to go to the School of Rock and it’s definitely worth it!

School of Rock West Hartford has been an amazing experience for my 11 year old son. He is quite shy but has always loved music and playing guitar. The performance aspect of School of Rock has really allowed him to showcase his talent while also meeting other kids and working with his bandmates. He gained a ton of confidence. The staff is always super helpful and encouraging – highly recommended.

Your teachers are excellent and my son has so much enthusiasm for playing the drums. The teachers are excellent (he is currently with Niles, but we have been happy with everyone he has had the last four years), and Adam does an excellent job running the SOR.
The Ridgefield staff is not only talented, but super kind, courteous, and patient with the kids (and their families). My daughter just completed her first season of guitar lessons and participating in the group show (Talking Heads vs. The Cars) and she loved it. It helped build her skills and confidence, as she is a naturally shy kid. A lot of great first experiences with School of Rock and we look forward to many more seasons (and cool dog tags 🙂
Enrolling our daughter in School of Rock Ridgefield was the best thing we could have done for her musically. From day one her instructors have helped her get better and better. I highly recommend SOR Ridgefield to anyone who wants their child(ren) to learn in a supportive and challenging environment.

So for a while my 9 year old son was asking me to take him to drum lessons. I have to admit I had a preconceived notion about The School Of Rock. I thought, oh here we go some trendy thing to scam parents out of money. I grew up playing multiple instruments myself and I have a home recording studio. I have four children and never pushed any of them into music. My youngest is all about it. Best decision I made for lessons is take my son to The School Of Rock and we got hooked up with Johnny for my sons drum lessons. My son loves learning from Johnny, he’s great with him, & to top it off the dude is just an all around good guy. No stuffiness, the staff, ownership, everyone across the board is super down to earth and genuine. I’m extremely happy that I found the nerve to finally go through with taking my son to the school of rock, it’s been a fun ride so far and we are lovin every minute of it. 🙂
This place is amazing! My son loves to attend. He absolutely adores his teacher Mike. He looks forward to attending each week. Recently he had a one hour session and Mike introduced him to playing the drums and he’s obessed. He’s completely amazed that Mike is able to play the drums, guitar and piano. My son is slowly building his confidence to one day play in the band.
The location is super convenient for driving or taking the Metro North. Your kids and parents will love the vibrant music. Music legends greet you on the wall, along with the colorful paintings.
My daughter loves her time at The Mamaroneck School of rock. The programs are fantastic and the private lessons have been a great help to her in furthering her skills.
