My husband and I love taking our kids to Riverside Music Together. We have been in the RMT community for a few years and have loved seeing our kids grow in a variety of ways. I would highly recommend you check out Riverside Music Together for your family.
My husband and I take our toddlers to this class and it is amazing! Not only has it helped them with their sensory issues, it’s helped them build confidence in communication and expression. Not to mention, it’s absolutely priceless watching them and the other kids dance and sing without a care in the world. I highly recommend this for any family. It’s worth it!
If variety is the spice of life, then Riverside Music Together provides just that. Our weeks have been peppered with dancing, laughter, and song since beginning our RMT journey a year ago. We love the instructors and community. We love the song selections, education, and scarves. We love that our family is learning to embrace ourselves as musical beings.
RMT has helped us reach musical milestones of which we were previously unaware. We’ve witnessed and experienced growth in creativity, critical thinking, sequencing and patterns, vocabulary, confidence, and emotion regulation.
While our children participate in class differently, we each leave every class feeling enriched, energized, and connected. We wholeheartedly believe in this program and its local leadership, and we are forever grateful for the time, research, and love they are pouring into our family and community. Thank you for the opportunity to make music and flourish together!

For me personally, the School of Rock (SOR) in Wichita is an exceptional place to learn music. I’ve had a bass guitar for some time and wanted to learn how it worked and how to play it a little so last year I went to the SOR. As an adult student at a 0 level skill I came in with the goals of what I wanted to achieve, spoke with Jason and the instructor I was paired up with, Aaron, has been nothing less than a total professional. He’s taught me some music theory, has expanded on the basics and I’ve even learned to play some songs that I enjoy. Jason, Kim and the rest of the SOR staff are courteous and very helpful when I have a scheduling conflict or vise versa. They quickly work with me via a phone call, an email, or a text and a new date/time is set up. While in the lobby I can see the younger students how they ‘re greeted by their instructors and notice there is a good connection with them. I’ve been to one of their performances, which I found very entertaining, and was able to check out first hand what they are learning here is coming to life on the stage. I initially came in as something to do during the winter and have stayed on. I’m very pleased.
I love the different approach that School of Rock takes to getting kids engaged in music. My son was interested in playing songs he knew and loved, and excited about the chance to play on the same stages as some of his rock idol bands. Now he learns and gets into the theory, the methods, the notations and nuances. He hears and sees drum beats wherever he goes and is truly engaged and invested in the time he spends at School of Rock every week. It has taught him about more than only music, but also responsibility to your peers, a sense of ownership, and the freedom to express himself.
When my 5 year old was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome it was very important for me to help him find a nonverbal way of expressing himself.
He started Private lessons at School of Rock a month before his 6th Birthday, he is now 7 and loves playing the guitar. His teacher is amazing, he understands that some days my son might talk his ear off and be a little wiggly and on those days he is patient and so kind.
We can’t say enough good things about School of Rock, they have fostered in my son a love of music and pride in himself when learns something new.
