How much fun is this! A terrific path towards learning an instrument…. proving the School of Rock is for all ages (I’m 56)…… my son, 10, inspired me…
Total blast.
I have been learning electric guitar here for 2 years best session of my people here are so nice and helpful
My son (12) plays drums, and my daughter (14) plays guitar. We’ve been going to SoR Natick since late February and they are having a great time.
It is expensive, especially with two kids going at the same time, but if you count the 2.5 hours a week of rehearsal time + the .75 hours a week of instruction time it comes out to about $23/hour ($325 a month divided by ~14 hours/month). Granted they are not playing for the full 2.5 hours of rehearsal time, it’s still a good value if you consider music store lessons are $25-$35 for a *half* hour.
The performance program also encourages the kids to practice more often then when they were taking individual lessons. If you value working as a team as a valuable life skill, but your child is not a team sports kind of kid (or maybe you’re not a team sports kind of parent…) SoR is a great program for them to learn work as a team while building a skill they’ll have for life.

School of Rock Seekonk has been a wonderful experience for my son. He has made friends here and has really started to embrace playing music in a new way. He has the opportunity to try many different genre’s of music from Heavy Metal to Disco. The grouping of young musicians has motivated him to practice more, become more confident and willing to audition for other groups within the program. The instructors are amazing and make each rehearsal and lesson something that he does not want to miss. They are encouraging, fun and keep my son engaged and challenged. We are both happy that we found the School of Rock in Seekonk!
Great teachers
Great environment to foster creativity and confidence.

So, I went for a trial voice lesson and it was soo much more than I thought it would be! I got to see the team there interact before I went in for my lessons, and all of them are soo fun, and soo friendly, and really care about the people that are there. Whether they are waiting to go in or just finishing up, it was actually a really cool experience and I’m going to be going back.
Really good place
Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Welcoming and supportive. Had to drag my kids to music lessons at other places. Now I have to drag them OUT of the School of Rock when it’s time to go home.
