My daughter had the most wonderful time at the California SOCAPA location! She learned so many valuable skills, and just as importantly she gained lifelong friends. The experience she had out West was so fantastic that she plans to expand her horizons even more by attending the SOCAPA New York campus this summer. I would highly recommend SOCAPA to any parent whose child is interested in film!
I spent two weeks in the acting program in 2018 and it was one of the best summers of my life. As expensive as it was, it was worth every dollar, I made sure to come back for the 2019 program and I am SO excited. The teachers and students were so sweet and welcoming. I was anxious for months before that summer because of how shy and introverted I am but everyone there were so kind and it felt like I had known them forever. I hope every creative person can experience an opportunity as amazing as this. 🙂 Socapa will always mean the world to me.
My daughter attended SOCAPA for their music program last summer. She was so inspired by the experience that she has now taken up playing another instrument! She already played piano, bass guitar, ukulele and sang. Now she has started learning to play guitar as well! She came back from the camp saying, “this was the best experience of my life”! Can’t beat that!
I had a fun and educational experience and enjoyed the activities planned on the weekends and during the night. I didn’t have the best experience with my specific instructors but overall the staff and kids were welcoming and I made many fond memories at SOCAPA. Super excited to come back for my second summer.
Had a blast at SOCAPA LA last summer! I had been doing video productions for four years but had never done scripted shorts. SOCAPA’s Core Filmmaking taught me a lot about how to write, direct, shoot, and edit short films. I had a lot of fun and made many great friends in the process. All of the staff members in LA were very friendly. The campus ended up feeling like a giant family by the end of the three weeks and I still keep in touch with many of my classmates. Can’t wait to do the Advanced Filmmaking course this summer in New York!

An environment to flourish the natural artistic gifts of a child. This is the music school we all hoped for as an alternative to the harsh 18th century theory methods and tedious practice. My boy loved his songwriting class while for the first time coolaborating with other young artists on a shared project. He learned essential critical thinking and communication skills and was systematically challenged to create new lyrics and music.
School of Rock is a great experience for any budding musician or just a way for any kid to pick up an instrument and have some fun and bonding.

For almost a decade, my children have been attending Bloom and thoroughly enjoyed a wide range of classes, from music introductions to dance classes. Currently, my son is preparing for the upcoming show with Mr. Colin in the Hip Hop II class, and he is very excited about the class and the performance. Bloom’s positive impact on our community is significant and contributes to making Eagle Rock a special family-friendly place to live.

Aiden is an incredible music teacher! He understands how to meet kids where they’re at and set them up for success. And most importantly, he makes lessons fun. My daughter is getting so much more than just music lessons…she is gaining confidence and learning how to push through challenges. We need more teachers like Aiden, who demonstrate acceptance and celebrate individuality. Thank you for everything, Aiden!

Tyler is such a great piano teacher who really knows his stuff! He’s a really really good pianist and I’m happy that he’s my teacher!
My daughter has been going to Bloom for about three years now and she’s improved so much. Her teacher, Ms. Sommer, taught her for most of that time. My daughter loved her – she was super supportive and always made her feel heard. Her new teacher, Ms. Adzua, is very fun and my daughter said she felt stronger after just one class.
