Great place to develop musical skills, practice in a band and learn theory at the same time. Very kind staff too. Summer camps are fun!
Great school, instructors are professionals and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The school itself is great my son has a great time and enjoys all aspects of learning so far, in my personal opinion the front area could use some work, it’s always very awkward when I walk in, dont even get me started on having to wait for any length of time, there’s hardly a greeting or asking why you’re here. I get it, this place is unprofessionally proffesional but the courtesy could be tuned up for the safety of the kids.
Very poor experience. Started off pretty good then just went downhill from there. The owner really doesn’t care about anything but the money and his ego. The instructors there are very nice but never available for lessons. Speaking from my experience, my instructor was almost never there and I was always offered a lesson in something that was unrelated. Probably because they had something more important to do than school of rock. You pay to play shows that aren’t even worth it. Sound is horrendous, no real sound guy, equipment is old and outdated, and when somebody like myself tries to fix it, they yell and say I “don’t know what I’m doing” even though the owner has no musical knowledge whatsoever. The other musicians there are really nice and I got along with them just fine. The biggest problem with school of rock is it’s owner. I had to quit in the middle of the “amazing tour” due to the fact that it was a miserable and depressing experience. Terrible food, no sleep, no showering, rooms were full of cockroaches and were in the middle of the ghetto. I love music and playing was great, but all of the other nonsense in between really turned me off from it. There was no concern for anybody’s health or wellbeing. Only when I threatened to leave, and subsequently did, they decided to act like they wanted to help but it was too late. I shouldn’t have had to beg to take a break from the nonstop unrelated music activities that were boring and tiring. According to the owner, THAT is what a REAL touring musician does. Which is completely false. Real touring musicians get paid, and are not bombarded with unnecessary activities. They play music, relax, and repeat. And any other activities they want to do is on their own desire. In conclusion, new management is very well needed in North Palm Beach School Of Rock.
