We signed my 3.5 year old up for the Little Wings program and its been a huge hit! He was a little apprehensive for the first class but the teacher and owner are so friendly that he was quickly put at ease and started rocking out in short order. Parents wait in the waiting room but are able to hear the music and you can tell how much fun they are having as they play everything from Raffi to Old Town Road. The format of the classes is a good mix teaching my son to appreciate music and work as part of a larger group as they collaborate in their band.
As for the facilities they are brand new and very conveniently located in West Hartford center with parking readily available. Just park and a short walk up to the second floor. You can tell everyone that works there is passionate about music.
Highly encouraged for anyone looking to expose their kids to music and make them feel like a rock star.
Amazing team of teachers and owners! They have a unique approach – learn music as a group to understand working together as a group – or a band (with eventual option for private lesson add ons). He always comes out of class happy and feeling supported by the teachers. My son had to pivot because of attention issues. Rather than chastise him and set him up for failure, the staff at School of Rock approached it with positivity and kindness. He is now in private lessons and enjoying it. Thank you School of Rock!
100% recommend. This is way beyond just learning the chords or the notes – The instructors are so passionate about ensuring the students have a fun, enriching experience, that my son comes home excited, confident, and inspired from every lesson and band rehearsal. They take great pains to get to know the kids and their strengths and opportunities, you really feel like you’re part of the band.
School of rock, Rocks!!!!
Judah’s Camp
Address: 65 Bank St, Waterbury, CT 06702 , Rajadell , Connecticut , United States
Judahs canon is one, if not the best recoding studio and professional atmosphere I’ve ever been in, I recommend this spot to any and everyone, who’s serious about recoding music and learning how to master their craft all at the same time.
The ABSOLUTE BEST BEST BEST BEEEEESSSSTTTT music school in Connecticut (if not the nation ) Esteban and his team work VERY WELL with children and truly demonstrate a love for teaching. My son is 8, never touched a keyboard in his life and in just 1 year he’s reading music, playing piano keys without looking down, understands musical concepts, and can play numerous songs like a pianist! Only 8 years old in 1 year!! Wow!! I’m a happy and proud mother! Only 30 minutes of classroom time at the studio, the rest is 15-20 minutes of practice at home EVERYDAY & boom you have a musician! THANK YOU Esteban for doing what you do and advancing the lives of our children!
Oh! Another noteworthy comment…. Esteban meets with the parent for a few minutes after class to discuss what was learned and you’re practically learning with your child! So as a parent I don’t feel lost at all! I know what to hear for and how to help my son at home.
God Bless this establishment and all the instructors and their families!
We highly recommend Judah’s Camp! My son (6) takes private piano lessons and has been learning so much. Esteban is super patient with him, keeps him engaged and makes lessons fun. I am amazed at how far he has come in just a few months.
My son and daughter (4) also participate in the Intro to Music classes for homeschoolers. Last year, we did not incorporate music into our studies and were very fortunate to find this program. My kids look forward to music class every week. You will not be disappointed!
