The staff at the Annapolis School of Rock is amazing. They are talented, thoughtful and creative. And most importantly, they take a real interest in the development of each student. I could not recommend the program more.
My girls were skeptical going in but they really enjoyed learning the piano and singing.
Love these folks! Everyone is friendly and professional, and my 8-year old has FUN while learning. I’m inspired to maybe try one of the adult bands eventually. 🙂 GREAT place. 🙂 🙂
Hayley the Keys instructor was great. We did our free trial with her and my 9 year old daughter had a great experience. So we signed up for the program.
At 9 she was placed in Rock 101. The kids were mostly younger than her, and it usually felt like glorified babysitting vs becoming a better musician.
Huge communication disconnect re:homework/expectations between the private lesson, Rock 101 and the School of Rock app causing tears that could be avoided and much frustration for parents!
We also tried one of the summer camps, signed up both kids. The fees included “Recording: campers will record their songs with camp directors so that they can share with family and friends!”.
This was not so! I emailed to follow up to receive this keepsake of their song writing, and the school did not have a file to share.

Whether in person or attending class online, each class brings my little one so much joy. Mr.Freddy is attentive and we love singing along with him!
Sophia is an amazing and patient teacher! We enjoyed the music class for toddlers. Looking forward to have other opportunities to have music time.
As a non-traditional student, I was nervous about starting to learn to play an instrument at almost 30. However, when I reached out to Sophia, she assured me that there was a place for me at Naptown Sings. She connected me with Sean Pietras and we hit the ground running, in a very welcoming environment where I am learning to shed my self-consciousness and embrace my love for music fully.
Sean’s approach to learning guitar has worked really well for me, where I find songs that I personally enjoy and learn around them, and each song truly has its own challenge. I feel really accomplished when we get through a song, and am pleasantly surprised to find that I’ve learned many other valuable lessons along the way. Additionally, Sean is very encouraging and understanding. I don’t feel pressured to meet any expectations, and he is always quick to congratulate my progress. Overall, I would highly recommend Sean as a great guitar teacher.
I look forward to continuing my lessons here, and find that it is really easy to do so with such an automated system and Sophia checking in on me to make sure it’s all going smoothly.
Thanks to Sean and Naptown Sings & Plays!
