I have the camp. I went there as a campoand counselor for over ten years starting in 1960. My son started at Arrowbear in 2003 or 2004 and started in middle school and continued through college. He even served as the program director of the Jazz session
My friends from camp are performing in major symphonies, two became successful international conductors. It is a wonderful place and I recommend it most highly.
Memories and my whole experience of Arrowbear Music Camp, its beloved founder (the late) Fred Ohlendorf, and everyone associated with it still warm my heart to this day 50 years from my last camp session. Kids/young musicians who attend are forever changed in a wonderful and far reaching way. Five stars don’t do it justice, I give Arrowbear Music Camp 1000 stars. Thank you Fred, you’re missed by everyone blessed to have been influenced by you.
Greatest place on earth!
Love waking up to the sou as of youth jazz musicians!
Very nice, while the snow melts, the little creek is very enjoyable. Nice quiet place for primitive camping
I got sick when I ate the food there! Never again!
